And thoughts on how midlothian will go flippinada? They're reporting Yes have lost west lothian but no declaration

flippinada · 19/09/2014 01:40

*Slow -it's counties and big cities. Clackmannanshire is very small. Glasgow and Edinburgh are the big two and will declare late.

SlowlorisIncognito · 19/09/2014 01:40

flippinada I think Midlothian has been mentioned as being fairly demographically representative of Scotland, so could be an important result.

littledrummergirl · 19/09/2014 01:40

Yay. Well done clackmannanshire. Keep this up Scotland Grin

OOAOML · 19/09/2014 01:40

Individual votes added together

Cambiodenombre · 19/09/2014 01:40

Woke up from nap for Clacks vote - happy surprise to see its no

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 01:41

ME each vote counts - so totally tally of yes and no. No matter where they're from.

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 01:41

Oh Orkney next. This is getting exciting. Thank you for the info on the first result, it makes sense. Interesting that it was a No as the education secretary is there, the SNP lady.

squoosh · 19/09/2014 01:41

Man wearing gingham tablecloth as shirt. He looks shady.

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 01:41

It's just a straight add up of the individual votes over the country. They're just declaring counts by region.

flippinada · 19/09/2014 01:41

I think Midlothian will go no.

EmilyGilmore · 19/09/2014 01:41
  1. They did talk about Dundee on the Beeb just now. Lower turnout than elsewhere, interpreted as a blow for the Yes vote.
  1. I'd never even heard of Clakmananshire! Is it a county? I'm off to wiki it.
MrsTerryPratchett · 19/09/2014 01:41

Thanks Slow and flippinada. DH's from Fife oringinally. So that may explain his 'no'ness.

Cambiodenombre · 19/09/2014 01:41

So is transport secretary I think

EmilyGilmore · 19/09/2014 01:42

I'd love to vote in a referendum.

squoosh · 19/09/2014 01:42

Twitter says there are reports Aberdeen will go 60% No

MeDented · 19/09/2014 01:42

Thanks that makes sense!

squoosh · 19/09/2014 01:42

Pat Kane is an insufferable bore.

Cambiodenombre · 19/09/2014 01:42

I would be shocked if Aberdeen went yes.

MrsTerryPratchett · 19/09/2014 01:43

Sorry, DH's 'yes'ness. Oops.

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 01:43

Aberdeen as a No? There's a surprise.

Username12345 · 19/09/2014 01:43

Why couldn't they do the counting during the day Sad

saoirse31 · 19/09/2014 01:43

So, genuine question. Assuming its a no vote, will Scotland actually get devo max? Or, as i suspect, will that kind of disappear...?

Igneococcus · 19/09/2014 01:44

This is probably not the moment to admit that I'm not entirely certain I know where Clackmannanshire is.

Cambiodenombre · 19/09/2014 01:44

Clacks is a tiny council just over river from Grangemouth. Mix of demographics.
