apparently im too political (I dont post every day) he casually mentioned it as if i have no right to be offended .... and as i only hide people i never see or irritate me i am offended .....would you be?

Yabu to feel offended if you are always posting stuff that he doesn't like and he hides you based on that.

I wouldn't dream of hiding DH on FB. But if he was posting stuff I found upsetting I'd talk to him on the subject of marriage guidance/separation/divorce rather than doing a P/A defriending stunt.

I am going to ask again, and it is a genuine question - why is anyone a facebook friend of a person they share a house with? Don't you already know where they are going on holiday/what the kids look like and what the had for dinner?

I hide all political posters on FB

It doesn't bother me who they are and it shouldn't bother them that I do it.

Yes and even if you had just posted twice it's very annoying when people comment/like as you get notified and it keeps popping up on your feed. Solution - hide the person.

Why shouldn't couples both be on Facebook together? It would be strange to both have accounts and not be friends on there!!!
I wouldn't know or even care if DP had hidden me though!

DH is my friend on Facebook. Add a photo of the kids tag him and then his family and friends can see them.

I think it's weird not to be facebook friends with your other half, but not to hide each other. My DH isn't on facebook but I'm sure we talk to each other enough face to face to the want to read about respective opinions too. I just wouldn't be bothered but then I'd be more likely to be the blocker than blockee.

Yabu. You're cluttering up his timeline with things he doesn't want to see. So he hid them. It's not like he asked you to change your beliefs, he just doesn't want it on his social media. No harm done...

Utter bollox, we're fb friends with each other never caused a row, I have H on favourites which is almost stalker setting but only because I am genuinely interested in his posts because he is my husband and I LOVE him and when he posts a photo of something I want to get a notifications as it is possibly one of my kids or something that will interested on some way as I am INTERESTED in him and what his is doing.
He is also fb friends with his ex but that is fine because I TRUST him and we share a password as we trust each other.

OP in answer to your original q yes I would be pissed if he unfollowed me!
