As title really, its tomorrow and chatting to him now, but its going to be a disaster. I've been sucked in by a pretty face. Am I being too picky?

I don't think the age thing matters. Dh is 8 years younger than me. I'm a cougar Grin

I do think the stuff about education is a shame though. Surely you shouldn't give a flying squirrel what qualifications someone has as long as you can have a proper chat with them and connect on the right levels.. education really doesn't equate to that. Lots of people don't have degrees or even a levels. Many of them are just as bright as those who do.

This thread is not a wind up. I just found eating factory food for lunch every day unattractive, looks like I'm alone on this

Tinder is for hooking up not dating.
A friend of a friend went on a few dates through tinder (she too thought it was a dating website) and the guys were all complete creeps it did not go well. Needless to say, she has since deleted her profile.

rainbowinmyroom · 14/09/2014 21:37

I just made myself a bowl of Heinz tinned tom soup with broken Ritz crackers crumbled over the top. Mmm.

Guitargirl · 14/09/2014 21:37

You sound a bit like the poster a few months ago who thought all her work colleagues were jealous of her. Basically a bit unhappy. Go on, go out with the lad who doesn't know where Berlin is. You never know, you might enjoy yourself.

Pico2 · 14/09/2014 21:37

Tinned soup seems reasonable. Berlin - that would make me know that we wouldn't have a future together.

Lifesalemon · 14/09/2014 21:37

So you think he's thick and has no taste.
Maybe Tinder does get it right sometimes!

WarblingOyster · 14/09/2014 21:38

Yeah Sweets you can't expect much from an app that is pretty much 'hot or not' dating Grin

LittlePeasMummy1 · 14/09/2014 21:39

I have tinned soup at work most days as don't have time to makes sarnies. Had no idea this somehow makes me a pariah....

pingusmum · 14/09/2014 21:39

You're judging him on tinned soup and geography....let's hope he doesn't give you a punctuation quiz! Ps love Heinz tomato soup- happy childhood memories Grin

iklboo · 14/09/2014 21:39

Anyone want a hobnob? Think I've got some custard creams as well, somewhere.

ilovesooty · 14/09/2014 21:40

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this 22 year old were much more grounded and happier in his own skin than you: tinned soup, Btec and all.

WorraLiberty · 14/09/2014 21:41

I'd be surprised if he even turns up to be honest.

iklboo · 14/09/2014 21:42

My school was made with red bricks. So is FIL's shed, come to think of it.

It's nothing to do with food. It's your deliberately provocative comments about other people's qualifications which make me think this is a wind up.

Sorry but isnt a HND is for people that cant manage a full degree, either for time or ability?

When you have finally removed your head from up your own arse, you may find that there are people in the world who are better than you that may not have the same level of education as you. Never mind, it will be your loss, not theirs.

Love a can of heinz cream of tomato, even though I am doing a degree!

Quite frankly, I think he could do a lot better by the sounds of it Grin

Perhaps your pseudo-elitism would be better received on a marry a millionaire site?!Wink

B-teck? Snort

puntasticusername · 14/09/2014 21:44

The Berlin thing? It means nothing to me. Oh no, that's Vienna.

I'm so sorry. That was much funnier in my head.

iklboo · 14/09/2014 21:45

A Higher National Diploma (HND) is a higher education qualification of the United Kingdom.[1] A qualification of the same title is also offered in India, Malta,[2] Nigeria,[3] and some other countries with British ties. This qualification can be used to gain entry into universities at an advanced level, and is considered equivalent to the second year of a three year university (hons) degree course. This helps in gaining better knowledge and skill based experience as compared to the advances in the three year degree or masters degree course. Thus being equivalent to the second year of three year (hons) degree at the same level of ordinary bachelor degree course in the UK higher Education Framework.

ithoughtofitfirst · 14/09/2014 21:45

I would LOVE a hobnob

ConcreteElephant · 14/09/2014 21:46

I'm 39 and I've never been to Wales. I do have a Masters though.

I don't know whether to congratulate DH on a good match or offer him the chance to divorce me now. Perhaps I could divorce him on the grounds that he, for many years, thought that Che Guevara was actually Sheikh Avara...

Seriously OP, just go, you might have fun. It takes all sorts and all that.

ithoughtofitfirst · 14/09/2014 21:46

Aaaaah Viennaaaaa

LOL

puntasticusername · 14/09/2014 21:48

Fistbump ithoughtofitfirst

Rofl @ Sheikh Avera!
