To love this buggy!

DH got a delivery this morning....

My DD2 is a nightmare. She screams and cries if I put her in the pram, she's impossible to pacify in a restaurant or shopping etc...

So DH says this is the solution.

She's been quiet for 15 minutes!!!! Shock

To love this buggy!

I think even with the child laid back, it's going to be too close to her eyes.

I also think you might be disappointed in how quickly she grows bored of it.

Sorry if this has already been asked (it's a long thread) but what's to stop the child from grabbing it? Is it 'locked in' somehow?

DancingDinosaur · 23/08/2014 16:58

The buggy is a superb idea. Wish they had been around when my dc were young. It may have saved my sanity a little. That buggy would go well with that rolling platform thing I saw on here recently. That was a fab invention as well. Fwiw my dc used to play with the ipod when they were younger. They don't really bother with it these days, but I very much doubt it caused them much harm.

Bearbehind · 23/08/2014 16:58

I respect the fact you've finally admitted you intend to use it to calm your child down (not just on holiday) and refer to my very first post asking if that is making a rod for your own back?

How do you expect her to be happy when in a pram she hates with no ipad if that's the only way you can calm her down?

curiousgeorgie · 23/08/2014 17:01

Worra - it's not actually in the pram, it's in a pocket on the outside of the hood and the hood inside is see through... If the buggy is reclined all the way it is quite a distance to it.

Oldface - how am I insensitive to SN families with small budgets???

ziggiestardust · 23/08/2014 17:05

This thread is AMAZING!

Wine OP? It's like a game of Bingo on here...

ArsenicyOldFace · 23/08/2014 17:05

ANd what PoppySeed said actually Wink Wink Wink

(Oh this constant inane winking is fun Grin)

WorraLiberty · 23/08/2014 17:06

Oh I see

Well I'm pleased you're happy with it, although it wouldn't be my choice for my kids.

Hope it makes your holiday easier.

curiousgeorgie · 23/08/2014 17:06

I don't understand. Seriously. Please explain to me how on earth you've come to that conclusion??

OP posts:
curiousgeorgie · 23/08/2014 17:07

Meant for Oldface, not Worra.

PoppySeed2014 · 23/08/2014 17:08

I'm guessing that 14 days at disneyland is expensive. As are iPads. I assume that's what the pp is referring to when she talks about insensitivity.

curiousgeorgie · 23/08/2014 17:09

So it's insensitive to go on holiday? That's absolutely ridiculous.

How is it specific to SN families then? Lots of people have tight budgets, are they offended??

It's quite telling that the OP has jumped on just about every post I've made in order to incite an argument but hasn't actually answered my last post about how she thinks using an ipad to calm a 15 month old 'nightmare' child will work out in the long run.

Much more fun goading oldface now instead.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 23/08/2014 17:11

crass insensitivity to the vast majority of SN families with tighter budgets?

eh? what have I missed?

I don't understand that at all.

ziggiestardust · 23/08/2014 17:11

Is there a a limit to the value of the items you can talk about on here then? Better ban the property topic then...

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 23/08/2014 17:13

We haven't had a holiday in 4 years

I don't feel georgie is being insensitive, why shouldn't she talk about IPads [ we haven't one of them either] and holidays?

So it's insensitive to go on holiday? That's absolutely ridiculous.

So now you make stuff up?

I've already told you.

The assertion that a tablet 'is essential' makes you sound ludicrous.

AND is crassly insensitive.

(Handy list of true essentials upthread if you're interested)

CBA myself, entirely pointless, quacky, goady thread.

MegMogandOwlToo · 23/08/2014 17:14

If you are resorting to an iPad now, good luck for the toddler years!!

PoppySeed2014 · 23/08/2014 17:14

I don't find it insensitive. I can see why some people might though. I don't know how much Disneyland costs but I just feel overwhelmingly happy and smug (yes, smug Wink) that I don't have to go to Florida in the summer and go to a theme park. Actually makes me feel rich, rich, RICH! Ooh, the op isn't the only goady one now. Huzzah!

ArsenicyOldFace · 23/08/2014 17:15

eh? what have I missed?

The repeated assertion that tablets are essential to SC with SN SanDiego.

Not wonderfully useful, helpful and enriching (which of course they can be). No OP is admant they are ESSENTIAL [rolleyes]

curiousgeorgie · 23/08/2014 17:15

Bear - I'm not goading anyone. I didn't understand what she was going on about ( and I'm not alone.)

With regards to my daughter, once she can walk and play a bit more I think she'll be slightly easier. And her allergies will be easier to manage when she can eat a few more foods.

OP posts:
ziggiestardust · 23/08/2014 17:16

What's that? Sorry, couldn't hear you, was just finished cracking the Bolly for my champagne bath.

Waltonswatcher · 23/08/2014 17:18

I am looking forward to reading all of this thread later .
I wonder if my cut reaction will alter...
Right now I think it's one of the most shockingly crap products for kids ever to make it out of the ideas room.
