To be shocked at what I saw at a Toby Carvery?

I went to a Toby Carvery the other day. I had two types of meat, a Yorkshire pudding, veg and gravy. I had a good sized portion, ate it all and didn't feel the need to go up again. I'm quite smug that I know how much to put on my plate without wasting it.

However, I could see the gravy/sauce table from where I was sitting and saw a few very overweight young people, late teens/early 20's with 3 - yes 3 Yorkshire puddings on their plates, a mound of veg and ladling on bucketfuls of gravy.

Surely this is not normal and they were just greedy.

Smug. And sneery too.
Well done you

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 20/12/2016 14:49

NRTFT but you were shocked because some people ate 3 Yorkshire puddings at a Carvery?

Hahahahahahaha!!

Get a grip! And possibly don't venture much further than your road end if this shocks you.

You'd have clenched at me on Saturday, I was at Toby's and had 3 Yorkshires. They were bloody amazing. I am not overweight or obese, my BMI is 23 (and that's at 8 months pregnant) though so I guess it's OK because as long as it's thin people eating lots ey? Fatties eating lots is 50 shades of offensive Hmm

MadisonAvenue · 20/12/2016 14:53

Only three? Amateurs!!

ProseccoBitch · 20/12/2016 14:53

I think you should mind your own business Biscuit

BraveDancing · 20/12/2016 16:16

I don't think you should brag about eating at a Toby Carvery. And aside from that, it's none of your business what total strangers are eating. You've no idea of the context. It's shallow and judgy.

Zombie thread, folks.
And the person who restarted it has had all his posts deleted, I reported him for being a goody fucker and hopefully he's been banned.

I doubt that the OP is reading responses.

ZOMBIE THREAD.

CaptainBraandPants · 20/12/2016 16:19

Goody = goady. Autocorrect changed my meaning there somewhat.

Minivaperviper · 20/12/2016 16:21

I have never been to Toby carvery but if I did I'd have a plate full of Yorkshire puds with veg and gravy, don't care for meat much.

It's a place where you fill your boots if you want to. Good for you that you eat within your limit.Hmm

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 20/12/2016 16:33

Ah didn't see it was a zombie thread. How do they end up being re-posted on so many years later?! Maybe a PR stunt by Toby's Grin

HoobleDooble · 20/12/2016 21:53

I'm actually going to a Toby tomorrow with work! I'm going to see how much food I can pile on just to annoy any lurking judgy bastards now.

DierdrePewtey · 20/12/2016 22:12

Do you get gravy in a Toby jug at a Toby carvery?
