Oh please help me I'm mortified!! I've just had a play date from HELL and to I went to text my best friend (who would find it hilarious) all about it, outlined everything horrible that he did but I sent it to the little boys mother. I feel like crying.

Is there anyway out of this, I used him name and I ended with "never to return again" Blush

So so glad to read your update fan.

As someone who has been that mother (at least until DS was diagnosed) I would have really appreciated a friend at times,

Well done to you and Flowers for both of you.

NewtRipley · 16/07/2014 06:31

Great post LizLimone. I totally agree

It is really horrible being the parent of a child who is misbehaving, or acting out

jaynebxl · 16/07/2014 06:38

Fantastic!

Aeroflotgirl · 16/07/2014 07:09

Fantastic op Smile. She sounds like a lovely lady, I am glad you made a new friend. Ignore tge sanctimonious on here, who never put a foot wrong, they were born with a golden tongue.

katese11 · 16/07/2014 07:18

That's a much better ending than anyone could have predicted Grin

BrandyAlexander · 16/07/2014 07:19

Completely agree with LizLimone. Great update, OP.

I felt your pain and didn't have 2 of my friends over to our house for a year because the 2 hour tidy up sessions after each visit got too exhausting, particularly when there was no attempt by my friends to help tidy up or acknowledgement that their children played in a really destructive way. Well done to the mum in your case for acknowledging her sons behaviour and not trying to "defend"/excuse her sons behaviour. There were some really sanctimonious twatty "perfect" parent responses on this thread, that I am glad you weren't around to read.Hmm

shakethetree · 16/07/2014 07:25

All's well that ends well.

& it's the sort of text I'd send Grin

but I doubt she's really forgiven you, she's just lulled you into a false sense of security whist plotting her evil revenge.

Bowlersarm · 16/07/2014 07:31

Yay, great update OP.

FrontForward · 16/07/2014 07:33

Great result

MiscellaneousAssortment · 16/07/2014 07:37

Yay, I'm so glad!

starlight1234 · 16/07/2014 07:37

More than the people shouting Karma ..Feels like maybe this happened for a reason.

It says a lot about you as well how you didn't hide away and so glad you both seem to have found a good friend

CakeUpWall · 16/07/2014 07:38

Your update actually made me a bit teary. Blush
Well done for taking the bull by the horns and tackling your error head-on. That took a lot of courage.
It sounds like the start of a lovely and supportive friendship. Thanks

Wishyouwould · 16/07/2014 07:45

Well done OP!! I think you have a great new friend there.

Jux · 16/07/2014 08:22

Brilliant! I'm so glad.

Hooray for reasonable people!

rowna · 16/07/2014 08:28

I think you're amazing for sorting it out so well Smile.

HauntedNoddyCar · 16/07/2014 08:43

Good result! Bet the MIL will be relieved too.

GoringBit · 16/07/2014 08:48

One for Classics, surely? But whatever, very pleased that it's turned out well for all concerned.

Groovee · 16/07/2014 08:59

So glad it's all been resolved.

Neeko · 16/07/2014 09:08

Well done op. Seems like you were meant to send that text after all. Bet the mil will be relieved to be believed too.

whois · 16/07/2014 09:09

Wow nice update OP. Glad it ended well.

hellsbellsmelons · 16/07/2014 09:13

Everything happens for a reason.
Really glad you had a good evening.
And long may this friendship last.

Staywithme · 16/07/2014 09:18

How wonderful. I'm so delighted for you, the mum, the child AND the mil. Just think, this mistake has brought two people closer together and may even help improve the relationship between the mum and her dil. Isn't it weird how things turn out?

livelablove · 16/07/2014 09:26

I just read this thread, when I read your OP I would never have expected it to turn out so well. I hope you do stay friends Wine.

Gen35 · 16/07/2014 09:42

Great!! And I'm sure her ds's behaviour can be sorted, a lot of dc go through bad phases.

r2d2ismyidealman · 16/07/2014 09:50

I love this. Thanks for posting OP!

And to the poster who sent a pic of her children to a random man with the caption "who's the daddy?"- I laughed out loud!
