Rolf Harris Friday can't come soon enough

It makes my skin crawl that if he has come back to his home whilst awaiting sentencing on Friday that he can stroll around our local town. Ffs he has been found guilty of major child abuse crimes.
Why don't judges just remand these sick bastards until passing sentence. He normally goes to our local Supermarket hopefully he will not show his face around town.He is a known personality and now he is a known child abuser.
Hopefully the judge will give him a long deserved sentance.

Well washing you shod have said ^^ that then instead of linking media exposure to 'floods' of accusations 'true or not'. Surely you can see why i understood what i did from your comments? Confused if that wasnt what you meant then why on earth link those two things?

STOPwiththehahaheheloling · 01/07/2014 16:51

should

HappyAgainOneDay · 01/07/2014 16:54

It's such a shame that RHG, WR, SH, MLeV and DLT have been tainted this way whether guilty or not. I liked them all because they did their jobs properly.

JS I can't be bothered about. I never liked him because he always looked sneaky and creepy. I felt uncomfortable about him. Ugh

HappyAgainOneDay · 01/07/2014 16:54

Sorry *RH not RHG

squoosh · 01/07/2014 16:56

'It's such a shame that RH, WR, SH, MLeV and DLT have been tainted this way whether guilty or not'

Ummmm, RH hasn't been 'tainted', he's been found by a jury to be most definitely guilty.

STOPwiththehahaheheloling · 01/07/2014 17:00

I am not sure who RHG and SH are so not sure if they have been found not guilty of any charges but why would be a shame for someone who is guilty to be tainted? Confused

STOPwiththehahaheheloling · 01/07/2014 17:01

Ah RHG = RH. In that case (guilty verdict) why on earth is it a shame he has been 'tainted'? What an odd thing to say!

IscreamUscream · 01/07/2014 17:02

I beg to differ on that HappyAgain and that is probably the same as all of the victims in all of this.RH has nobody to blame about tainting himself but himself. He should have not abused children as a court has found him guilty of!

bigdog888 I differ. If that's his choice, that's his choice, and better at home than in prison.

Redglitter · 01/07/2014 17:50

Stuart Hall & Rolf Harris deserve all they get. They were found guilty. Hell mend them. They tainted things themselves why would anyone feel sorry for them

HappyAgainOneDay · 01/07/2014 18:36

Yes, I know they've been found guilty and I'm not arguing about that. Well, I'm not arguing about anything. It's just that they are / were popular and so entertaining. I just remember Stuart Hall's infectious laughter in It's a Knockout. That alone made me laugh out loud never mind people sliding about on the ground, unable to get up because they were dressed as giant balls. I liked the way Rolf Harris painted with a wide paintbrush and we waited with bated breath to see what the picture was going to be. And Jake the Peg, Two Little Boys, Caractacus ...... I just liked them as people at the time. I repeat that I never liked JS because he was just too big for his boots.

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 01/07/2014 19:20

Im sorry but im crying with laughter at Rolf Harris day!!

Maleducada · 01/07/2014 19:27

I'd feel soiled knowing i'd found them amusing in the past. Luckily i never gave any of them a thought. Honestly I don't know how anybody can sit there chuckling at the memory of their 'infectious laughter'. Does what you know now not change the way you look at the past?

HappyAgainOneDay · 01/07/2014 19:31

The past is past. I enjoyed the past. The present starts the future. At the moment, I don't like the present.

TucsonGirl · 01/07/2014 20:16

Surely he has to get a custodial sentence? IMO he should be left to rot in prison for the rest of his life. Solitary confinement.

You may have to brace yourself for the fact he might not get a custodial sentence.

Nope - the judge has already told him he can expect a custodial sentence.

seasidesally · 01/07/2014 21:11

stooshe agree

they should of remanded him in custody

i think committing suicide is a possibility, then can you imagine the outcry

the mans a coward and cowards always look for an easy way out

Andrewofgg · 01/07/2014 21:14

Feenie I think what the judge said was that custody was "uppermost in his mind".

seasidesally - if you are determined enough you can kill ourself in custody - think West, think Shipman - and that would cause more outrage then if he did it at home.

JakeBullet · 01/07/2014 21:16

Let's remember his wife has not been accused of anything and is reported to have early stages of dementia. His daughter is probably a victim in all this too.....and no it doesn't compare to what his abused victims went through but I doubt he is all sweetness and light off camera.

I can't stand the trend of digging the knife into the family of the guilty. They are only guilty of believing a liar.

Hope there's a hell!!!!

Hakluyt · 01/07/2014 21:24

Fascinating how people's pervdar seems not to have picked up on a Harris the way it picked up on Saville. "Ooooh, I always knew there was something funny about him"

I do wonder whether that might be something about Saville looking a bit odd and Harris looking like everyone's favourite uncle.

No, in RL which would be the greater threat? Will people learn from this? Sadly, no.

EarthWindFire · 01/07/2014 21:25

I really don't think assumptions about the wife and daughter should keep being made. They were not on trial. It is all assumption and goosip!
