To want two marshmallows at m&s

Coffee with dsx2 on Friday. Choose m&s as they 'do the coffee with the marshmallows mum!!! '

One boy wants Percy Pig juice, so ask if we might have two marshmallows with other boys babychino to avoid world war three.

Am told we have a new policy of only one marshmallow. No apology, no smile, nada!

It was only a mini marshmallow too! Is this the pinnacle of un-child friendly. Or AIBU?

I would have gladly swapped my mini hobnob for a marshmallow if I had to trade. We had even bought cake as well. May be I should move on...

Fair point on managing the kids expectations.

You used to get two marshmallows so we'd already had a conversation about how we'd share as big babychino drinker was also having a cake and small boy doesn't eat cake.

One extra mini marshmallow didn't seem an unreasonable request. But maybe I'm wrong.

I like those little stirrer things that are a plastic spoon with milk chocolate and mini marshmallows, I dip it in long enough for it to go slightly gooey and then scoff it.

Loving the photoshop work.

A Percy Pig juice is just apple and raspberry isn't it? I thought they were quite nice. I obviously have the taste buds of a 3yo..

Yabu and wildly extravagant to buy your children percy pig juice and baby chino's, tut!

just kidding.

But yes, let the kids learn that it is either percy pig juice OR baby chino with marshmallow.

Oh and was vey proud of big boy when agreed to for go said marshmallow to small boy - who is coincidentally as yet not at the developmental stage to grasp that one drink has marshmallows and another does not - even if I had known.

If a big store down grades service like this from two big marshmallows to one piddling one -would just be nice if the staff could explain with good grace. Not just go all jobs worth.

Now if you'd put that in your original op!

If as a regular customer you are used to two marshmallows and it goes down to two squashing your mallowy expectations that's not on.

Still it's a good life lesson for small children.

Sometimes life gives you marshmallows. Some times you get surly marshmallow witholders.
