For me, it's watching washing on the line. DH thinks i'm a loon.

There's just something about watching clean washing blowing in the breeze that fills me with a sense of general wellbeing. If i'm stressed or grumpy, it instantly makes me feel better. I don't know why.

What is it for you?

The sight and smell of the sea.

Clean pajamas, clean sheets.

Second the newly potted flowers in dark soil and washing on the line, flowing in the breeze.

I tend to feel great by paddling along beach. I also find that sitting in dappled shade under a tree and reading a book/kindle can also boost the sense of wellbeing. Listening to music is good.

I like being on a boat (as a passenger) and can calm myself for sleep after a busy day by visualising me lying in a small boat as it gently rocks on the waves, watching small clouds scudding by above me on a sunny day and listening to the sound of the sea.

I like trees. I love being in forests and woods. If I see a big ancient tree, I immediately feel awe and calm

I have no idea why. It's so bizarre even to me.

Walking down the stairs knowing that DS is asleep and liable to stay that way for the foreseeable future

(He was an awful sleeper for the first 14 months when he suddenly go the hang of it, now every time he sleeps properly he wakes up in the morning able to do something new and amazing. 6 months into the proper sleeping and i'm still amazed and grateful for it!)

Sunlight on waves, the smell of salt in the air, the way light cuts through the clouds in stripes sometimes.

Getting into a clean, fresh bed with perfectly ironed bedding that's been dried outside. My family laugh at me but it just makes me feel wonderful and instantly relaxed! When I become a millionaire I'll have a housekeeper to change my bed every day....

A hot bath; clean sheets on the bed; the sound of a cork coming out of a bottle of wine; sitting in my lovely new garden; the smell of roasting chicken; going back to a good book; seeing the DCs faces when I come in from work; good friends; sunshine.

Waking up at the weekend, realising we don't have to get up, and turning to DH with a smile :)
