For me, it's watching washing on the line. DH thinks i'm a loon.

There's just something about watching clean washing blowing in the breeze that fills me with a sense of general wellbeing. If i'm stressed or grumpy, it instantly makes me feel better. I don't know why.

What is it for you?

Watching the sea. Getting into a bed made up with clean sheets, in clean PJs, after a bath. Bliss!
Nature generally.

OscarWinningActress · 21/06/2014 17:05

A day when I've cleaned the house, made something lovely for dinner, baked something and the children are engrossed in something improving. It doesn't happen often, but when it does...it's like self-actualization. Very satisfying.

Being surrounded by my dogs when they're snoozing away contentedly.

Taking said dogs somewhere they can really, really run. They run just for the sheer joy of it and it's amazing to watch.

Practicing songs from my singing teacher and having a rare moment (though they're happening more frequently) when I manage to do everything right and it feels incredible.

squoosh · 21/06/2014 17:08

The sound of water gently lapping.

Idontseeanyicegiants · 21/06/2014 17:20

Being barefoot on grass listening to the leaves rustle in the trees. I did that this morning as the sun rose Smile

The 'green' smell in the night air after it's been raining.

Swimming in the sea.

All chores being done.

Hanging with DH and the kids.

Cuddling the kids.

God.
He can put right my problems if there are real problems. It is a safety net.

Clean house and a glass of wine and a cheeky fag

KeepOnPloddingOn · 21/06/2014 18:03

When my one year old dd randomly starts saying 'mama' repeatedly and then she just gives me this knowing, loving smile as she seems to know how much it takes me breath away! Just the sheer simplicity and beauty of my child saying mama to me and smiling so lovingly as she does so; it's like our bond becomes completely tangible in that moment :) the purity of this is simply breath taking. Every time!

Aww, I got tearful even writing that! It is really is the kitten things in life that take your breath away !

KeepOnPloddingOn · 21/06/2014 18:03

Little not kitten!? Hahha

JugglingFromHereToThere · 21/06/2014 20:05

Listening to music, classic fm or world music, often in the car

Being at the seaside with or without children

Enjoying a moment with my children being fab - witty, wise, thoughtful, or funny Smile

Oh, and looking at wild flowers. I love them and they always lift my spirits Thanks

Opening a bottle of rose on midsummer's day? Wine Smile

Lying in the garden knowing that the jobs in the house have been done

amyjayde · 21/06/2014 20:14

Putting our DD to bed fed, clean and warm, when she falls asleep I sneak back in for a look and she's so peaceful and content, that makes me feel great ??

Pennastucky · 21/06/2014 20:17

olivespickledonions · 21/06/2014 20:32

Holding my children's hands
Unexpectedly coming across an episode of Sex and The City on the telly whilst flicking through the channels.
Talking to my dad on the phone.

SinglePringle · 21/06/2014 20:39

Working hard all week - doing my best at my job - then, on Saturday, cleaning my flat, going to the gym, going shopping and then coming home and opening a decent bottle of wine. And even more if I've been to the gym every day that week (like this one! )

Singing. Loudly. And hitting the notes (coz I can!). Soul music / funk / disco.

Dancing (see above).

My balcony with wine and it's lovely plants.

Festivals and getting stoned.

Doing all the above on a Saturday night after a hot soak in a bubble bath Wink.

justanotherbiscuit · 21/06/2014 21:58

The days where my husband, kids and I all have a day at home.
making a bit of lunch, then going for a lovely walk.

We don't do it enough if I'm honest (always running about daft) .

I love holding my dd hand and seeing dd2 all snuggled in her pram.
