To have phoned the police on our neighbours

They just tried to force their way into our house Sad I can't breath.
This is the same neighbour who was on loudspeaker in the garden to his wife the other day moaning
about our fucking kids winding his dogs up. This is also the same neighbour who has continually taken over length by length our front garden. When today for the first time I asked him not to I got a tirade of abuse from him.

Sorry I'm on my phone. So I rang the police and there was a bang on door.
hubby opened the door and they were shouting on our doorstep. I said I don't want this and tried to close the door. This is where they tried to force the door open. It took myself, hubby and my 12 year old to close it.

Yanbu!!!

Why did they try to force their way into your house? How are they overtaking your garden?

They sound vile!

Whyowhya · 31/05/2014 18:24

Why are you on your phone on MN? Wait for the police and guard your child

Phone the police again

defineme · 31/05/2014 18:24

Poor you.
you could write down what happened to get it clear in your mind for the police.
I would film any further interaction on my phone.
I would feel like moving Sad

MrsMoon76 · 31/05/2014 18:25

YANBU-sounds like they are a nightmare. Have you been recording what they have been doing to you?

kappadelta · 31/05/2014 18:27

Bumwad. I tried to close the door and they were both pushing from the other side trying to open it. They were drunk too.
Ex husband was on the phone to me when it happened he came straight down and they started abusing him.
He had to leave he's had valve replacement and it was ticking too fast.

Our house is on the market, it went on 3 months after they had moved in.

Whereisegg · 31/05/2014 18:28

Yes, film/photograph any thing else, and write stuff down while you remember.

PacificDogwood · 31/05/2014 18:32

Keep a written record of what happened/is happening, ideally with times.
Film/record anything you can.

I hope the police get to you soon.

kappadelta · 31/05/2014 19:02

Police still not here my chest feels so tight and my face is burning. It is just anxiety right?

OP posts:
PacificDogwood · 31/05/2014 19:05

Yes, chances are it is anxiety - adrenalin is a powerful thing.
Concentrate on breathing OUT - long slow breaths out, and your chest should start feeling less tight v quickly.

Can you phone the police again? Get an ETA?

Deverethemuzzler · 31/05/2014 19:07

Why would being on MN put her child at danger why

Perhaps the OP is in shock and could do with a bit of support.

GlaikitFizzog · 31/05/2014 19:08

Do the police know it was actively happening when you called??

Are they still out there? Call the police back, you should not be scared in your own home.

kappadelta · 31/05/2014 19:10

Devere, yes just need support. It's been building up for a while. Police called about 20 mins ago said someone will be with us.

OP posts:
kappadelta · 31/05/2014 19:10

Be careful about what you make official. You have to declare it when you sell wrong I know

Cut your losses and reduce the price.

LottieJenkins · 31/05/2014 19:11

Keep calling the police!!

kappadelta · 31/05/2014 19:13

I know mother, that's why I just left it. They've argued with next door but one on numerous occasions and I said that we were next .

I've dropped the price twice. We won't be able to afford another home if I drop it again.

Gruntfuttock · 31/05/2014 19:20

Aren't the police there yet?

Mothergothel1111 · 31/05/2014 19:21

My sis had to leave as she had fuckwit neighbours.
She had massive issues with selling the house.

Get your head down, don't tell any of your neighbors and get out. Or you may get decades of dealing with them.

Wrong as it is, take them a peace offering and try your best to defuse the problems.

Threetofour · 31/05/2014 19:22

I am so sorry have a similar situation with my neighbours & phoned the police you have done the right thing it is a terrible thing to feel under attack in your own home
The police were very supportive & threatened ndn with arrest if he ever knocks on our door again however now we just get shitty letters
Anyway try to stay calm I hope the police help

kappadelta · 31/05/2014 19:22

No just rang them again. They said someone will be with us but can't give us an ETA
