Asda execs can't see anything wrong with this. At all?

ballinacup · 30/05/2014 15:20

ballinacup · 30/05/2014 15:20

AIBU to think it is slightly obvious what the flag resembles?

OP posts:
mrsbucketxx · 30/05/2014 15:22

what offends you about the england flag then,

are we not allowed to be proud without falling foul of people like you accusing wearers being part of the edl.

so no flags at all for the football then

WorraLiberty · 30/05/2014 15:23

Perhaps they should have taken the photo from the front angle?

mrsbucketxx · 30/05/2014 15:23

or the hood looks like the kkk you mean

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 30/05/2014 15:24

To be honest, I didn't look at it and think KKK.

I thought it was some kind of mac for when it rains. Confused

OorWullie · 30/05/2014 15:24

Being Scottish, you wouldn't catch me dead in it anyway, but i don't think they're trying to recruit for the KKK ffs.

YABU.

grocklebox · 30/05/2014 15:24

it resembles a flag. And a hideous large cagoule. What is your point?

ballinacup · 30/05/2014 15:24

Yes mrsbucket, the hood looks like a kkk robe. The England flag part of it does not offend me.

OP posts:
mrsbucketxx · 30/05/2014 15:26

but as the kkk has no place in the uk its null and void.

Biscuit please!

WorraLiberty · 30/05/2014 15:26

FFS if it bears any resemblance at all to a KKK robe, it's simply because the hood is white and the photographer chose to take a photo of the back of the person wearing it.

Take it from the front and you have a totally different pic...

TrinityRhino · 30/05/2014 15:26

definitely looks like a kkk robe

what complete twit didn't see it when they were designing it

ballinacup · 30/05/2014 15:27

Actually, let me rephrase, none of it offends me, I'm just surprised, following the bollocking they got for their "mental patient" outfit at Halloween, that no one at all during design and production said "hang on a second, do you know what this looks like?"

OP posts:
Canus · 30/05/2014 15:28

All of those macs have sticky uppy hoods.

People look daft in them, but it rains so much here that no one cares.

I don't think many people are going to think the KKK have sprung up at every English fixtures.

WorraLiberty · 30/05/2014 15:29

See the front angle?

He just looks like a twat in a badly fitting cagoule

Oh COME ON, Asda!
NiceCupOfTeaAndAPartyRing · 30/05/2014 15:31

I thought KKK as soon as I saw it Confused

ballinacup · 30/05/2014 15:32

Same here Nice, I didn't need to read the article to guess what the issue was going to be.

OP posts:
coldwater1 · 30/05/2014 15:32

Its a flag with a hood to me, nothing more nothing less.

ballinacup · 30/05/2014 15:33

And worra, it's a pointed white hood from every angle.

OP posts:
cheekygeeky · 30/05/2014 15:33

It bring the kkk to mind. Yarbu.

cheekygeeky · 30/05/2014 15:33

Sorry should say yanbu

HeadfirstForHalos · 30/05/2014 15:36

I thought it looked like the KKK hood before reading the article too.

What an unfortunate design, I'm sure it was unintentional but still...

ThePortlyPinUp · 30/05/2014 15:37

I didn't even think of KKK when I saw it, just that it's fairly crappy.

WorraLiberty · 30/05/2014 15:39

And worra, it's a pointed white hood from every angle.

Yeah so what though? Confused

If a few people look at a pointed white hood (which won't be pointed any more when it rains) and they think KKK even though they can clearly see it's an England flag, that's not really ASDA's problem.
