To think the School overreacted in Expelling Pupil and calling Police for a stunt, when a "bollocking would have been enough".

Jacob Dowdle, a year 13 Pupil at Altrincham Grammar school on the last day of term May 16, put a paper plate with whipped cream in to his year heads face.

This was a very "Stupid" thing to do, but no harm was meant or injury caused yet the school called the Police and summary expelled him. The teacher was seeking a prosecution for the stunt, when she was not injured The teacher although upset , should have had the grace to except that it was a poor stunt , ( or like most teachers on the last day taken it on the chin as overexcited students behaviour).

I think some of the boys/girls from AGSB/AGGS who have tweeted , should be informed of the facts and disciplined by their schools. They have brought both of their schools in to disrepute, and should at least be told that their conduct in supporting or tweeting support for him is unacceptable, childish and will be remembered by the school when references are required.

I am useless on twitter. If I search with the boy's name, I see lots of individual tweets but not a debate iyswim, am I soon something wrong?

EvilTwins · 31/05/2014 23:50

So apparently, according to that woman on twitter, she, as a deputy head, would do the same as my HT, who called the police in after a parent threatened me on FB (not in person, unless on the phone counts, but not face to face) but considers an actual assault not worthy of expulsion or police involvement. Skewed logic there.

Igggi · 31/05/2014 23:52

Maybe someone from her school will test out her theory on Monday morning!

PatrickStarisabadbellend · 31/05/2014 23:55

I'm shocked that the teacher didn't punch him.

God that Lawrence has a massive ego doesn't he? Blithely dismissing the teacher's upset even when an immediate family member has spoken with him. The entire tone of that article just has a patronising 'silly silly woman, silly woman" tone.

And he stupidly thinks it's a really good idea that Jacob has a restorative justice meeting with the teacher. Given that the entire episode was designed to humiliate her, having her sit and tell him how badly she was humiliated will be a real treat for him rather than a punishment.

And I don't believe that the police told him that it wasn't an assault. Why suggest restorative justice if there wasn't an offence?
