...whilst on a public engagement must have either a) a screw loose or b) major exhibistionistic tendencies?

She has clearly made a policy of eschewing hem weights.

She knew she would be getting into a helicopter.

It looks like she is commando, although I suppose there is the possibility of a dental floss g-string.

I'm just Shock

They are Very Glamorous, Fideline, and would be perfect for a Marilyn moment.

Not good for handstands, though.

oldgrandmama · 27/05/2014 11:31

It is very windy here today, and wet, but I am going to wear a short skirt -hell, I don't OWN a short skirt, but I do have one skirt, a black almost ankle length garment I only wear to funerals (jeans are frowned on at these sombre occasions, even worn by 72 year old crones self-conscious about their varicose veins). I am going to hack off three quarters of a metre of material and hey presto: a little floaty short skirt.

I am going out in this short skirt NOT WEARING KNICKERS! And I shall stand under a conveniently placed helicopter with its rotors going so that the updraft lifts the improvised skirt to reveal the crepey pert cheeks of oldgrandmama's fat, droopy delectable bare arse. Nearby paparazzi will eagerly shoot the amazing sight, hopefully only from behind, because oldgrandmama has never been brave enough to have any front bottom tidying up in a waxing salon.

Hopefully you will all see the resultant pics in The Daily Wail or other highbrow media. Of course I shall sue.

Madrigals it's not a feminist issue, it is a decorum issue.

If international Heads of State have to bow and curtsey to KM as the rep of the Queen, If we are expected to respect her, then she needs to maintain some dignity in line with her position, or at least take steps to try.

she is quite literally a jam fool if she hasn't yet worked out what helicopter blades do to dresses. No they shouldn't be published but FFS, if you don't want your bare arse in the press, it's quite bloody simple to avoid it being displayed.

oldgrandmama · 27/05/2014 11:48

What's a 'jam fool'? Great expression (whatever it means).

'Free the foofoo one' with a pic of oldgrandmama shall be my choice of t shirt if her idea goes to plan. Grin

Oldraver · 27/05/2014 12:01

Why should she have weights in her hems (does anyone do this, I've only ever put weights in curtains) or wear granny pants.

If my arse was like hers I wouldn't

FayeKorgasm · 27/05/2014 12:04

Really don't see the problem. She has a bum. As does everyone else on the planet. It really is a storm is a very small- like her bum - tea cup.

oldgrandmama I have lunches like that too, we normally end up in The Blue Bar afterwards, amazed by what we have bought and done!

thesaurusgirl · 27/05/2014 12:07

Wasn't Kate lent the Queen's dresser to help her prepare her official tour wardrobe? Surely it was her job to make sure the hems were adequately weighted and advise whether certain items of clothing were impractical for the occasion? Though don't think any female member of the Royal Family has ever worn trousers to an official Royal functions - certainly can't recall seeing a photo. Unwise to wear a g-string when you're in a dress and near a helicopter but perhaps she was lulled into a false sense of security by the dresser's assurances that her dress would be fine?

Is someone within the palace sabotaging Kate's profile deliberately? Both Diana and Fergie complained of this, and it's notable that a lot of senior courtiers are aristos. I bet they'd love to take the Middletons down a peg or two for daring to get one over on their daughters.

I wouldn't be in the least surprised if some of the sabotage came courtesy of Prince Charles's office. Isn't it strange how we all know how much Kate's frocks cost, but not Camilla's? Camilla wears Robinson Valentine couture; those suits cost £4000 a go. Make Kate the scapegoat for the criticism this week so it takes the heat off you when you're in the papers causing a diplomatic incident over Putin.

Onesleeptillwembley · 27/05/2014 12:18

Why on earth would anyone need to 'sabotage' her profile?
She's doing a great job of that herself.
It's a comforting thought though that if the knives are out for her them she soon be sent back where she came from. I personally find it offensive that she is wheeled (reluctantly) out as a representative of my country.

SaucyJack · 27/05/2014 12:22

Is someone within the palace sabotaging Kate's profile deliberately?

Nope. She just hasn't yet developed the class to dress like the mother of the future King of England rather than an extra from the Towie Marbs special.

I wouldn't go out in a shortish dress and no pants, and I live in a council flat.

TheFairyCaravan · 27/05/2014 12:25

'Sabotage'!? Hmm

Yeah, not only did they not sew the weights in her hems on purpose, they deliberately didn't pack her any knickers either!

BristolRover · 27/05/2014 12:26

round of applause for SaucyJack.
Personally I find it rather unsettling that I've seen her tits, arse and what type of wax she favours through the medium of foreign press, but really. Sophie Wessex / Rhys Jones manages perfectly well to maintain her dignity these days (now she's given up flogging access to minor royals via her PR company of course...)

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 12:33

There's no connection between class and housing sauce - you've either got it or you haven't. Clearly Kate hasn't

... but we haven't seen HRH Kate's toes yet ... she could do worse than channel Fergie, who did topless AND toes, both at the same time. That's REAL style! Shock

FidelineandFumblin · 27/05/2014 12:38

but we haven't seen HRH Kate's toes yet

Nor the back of her neck, strangely....

OP posts:
thesaurusgirl · 27/05/2014 12:39

The 'Firm' didn't like Di's popularity very much because she took the shine off Charles too much, perhaps they're doing the same to Kate and William because they're taking the shine off Camilla.

FWIW there are photos of Sophie Wessex topless - she was with Chris Tarrant (which blows the mind in all sorts of strange directions Grin).

Fergie topless and having her toes sucked.

Zara topless and her husband groping a scubber.

Prince Harry stark bollock naked.

But she's the one really getting ripped to pieces.

I'm not a RF fan nor a KM fan, but I do think much of the criticism levelled at Kate is increasingly hysterical.

Onesleeptillwembley · 27/05/2014 12:40

Or a sodding work ethic!

LaurieFairyCake · 27/05/2014 12:42

She has a fabulous bum and I don't care that I've seen it.

A wardrobe malfunction can happen to anyone - she should just shrug it off.
