DM used to tell me "wearing underwear to bed is very unhygienic and can lead to thrush" so I've never worn undercrackers to bed, unless wearing sanpro and don't wear pjs.
aibu to think it's weird that other people wear boxers/nickers to bed? Just because I've been told it's not hygienic?

I sleep naked. Always have.

I feel really uncomfortable sleeping clothed. I go starkers. If on oeriod I wear mahooosive v comfey granny pants. I sometimes wear a big, loose tshirt if it is esspecially cold. Dh sleeps naked too.

I would just get irritated by collars and seams and I would feel hot and stifled to be honest ! I change bed sheets weekly and wash daily (in morning) so I dunno why this could be deemed unhygienic. I'm not a sweaty sleeper and I don't piss the bed ...

Perhaps there is commercial mileage in a mattress-air conditioning unit. You could attach it to the foot of your bed and it could blast gently circulate a constant flow of air around your nether regions

I usually wear nuffin in bed unless I've argued with OH then I put my onesie on so he gets the message that there will be no making-up malarkey.

Fresh undies every night, would expect this is more hygienic than either pj's or nakedness-that is of course unless you change them every day, then it's just the same.

Nude sleeping?! So that bodily secretions and smells and 'poo crumbs' get all over the bed? So are sheets changed every day then-otherwise BLEUGH!

(If one in fact has poo crumbs which in itself is a separate and more disgusting issue! :D )

I woke up this morning in my gym gear including sports bra and yesterday's knickers.. the lights were all on too. I don't remember falling asleep but I was sober, honest.

Exercise is healthy but exhausting.

I couldn't wear any underwear in bed, including socks. I really don't like the way it feels.

I don't understand the fear of poo crumbs- do people not wash their arses? If poo crumbs really are an issue, then knicker-wearers must be finding said crumbs in their pants in the morning, surely?

Or wipe them for that matter yeurch.

YABU and narrow-minded to not consider that there may be reasons why people wear underwear in bed.

Like a pp, i suffer heavy discharge and always wear pants in bed since I was about 14. Never ever had thrush. Just hate that damp feeling which I don't actually get with pants on.

Knickers and a vest top here, never had thrush. If its cold I wear pj bottoms and keep them on the passenger side of the bed in case of emergencies.

As a child, both my mum and gran were adamant that my sister and I should not wear knickers in bed and an aunt who was a children's nanny who said that we shouldn't wear vests in bed either.

I would like to sleep naked but dh would think it was all his birthdays at once so I dont.

I wear pants in bed, clean pair every night. The main reason is that I have heavier than average natural discharge, so it seems both more hygienic and more comfortable to me to wear pants. For this same reason I would NEVER consider going commando, like ever.

On the other hand, I have never had thrush.
