To please, please ask for your positive stories of people getting well having been on HDU/ intensive care

DP was admitted last week and moved to HDU last night. They don't know what's wrong. He has fluid on belly, some kind of infection and impiared liver function. There is talk of moving him ti ICU. We seem to be waiting on endless tests. He is 35 we have a three year old and I am 7 months pregnant. I need him . Please tell me your positive stories of recovery from these situations.

So so sorry for your loss Grobags. I wish you and your family strength at this horrendous time. I have a friend who lost her husband to cancer when her eldest was 14 months and she was 8 months pregnant. Their second arrived 3 weeks after he died. She is testament to the fact that people cope with this horrific situation. Keep using us to talk and vent to.

Many, many years ago there were threads on Ebay posted by Lynda (Farawaywood) about her husband Andy.
She then posted one that he was sleeping well.
It took us all a little while to realise what she meant (he had throat cancer).
You will live on. You will remember. You will be strong. Just not quite yet.
