Some of DP's habits I find quite frankly repulsive and it's caused major rows between us.

Some of things he does which I find disgusting:
-Never washes his hands if he's done a wee
-when he empties his bowels, he'll only rinse his wiping hand with water

-this morning I caught him drinking out of the milk bottle when it's no where near empty (and he has a brown tongue atm so it means no-one else can use it now and it was a 6 Pinter) Angry
-doesn't wash himself everyday

I could go on but these are the main issues that are driving me mad. He thinks IABU and gets very defensive when I confront him.

SB is using your sleeve not worse though? Surely then you're walking around with whatever little nasties on your clothes for the rest of the day rather than use your hands which you're going to wash anyway.

Alicebannedit · 11/05/2014 12:36

I went bowling once with a group and we were warned not to eat from the dishes of peanuts on the counter. Just sayin' Grin

Fairenuff · 11/05/2014 12:36

They should put the sinks outside the bathrooms so that

a) you don't have to touch anything after washing and

b) everyone can see who isn't washing their hands and do catsbum mouth at them

ScarlettlovesRhett · 11/05/2014 12:44

Clashcity, I seem to spend my life cleaning piss drops up in my house.

Apparently my husband and my eldest son do the willy shake, it's only my younger son that uses a bit of toilet roll to 'dry up drops'. According to eldest, youngest is "weird" for doing that Confused

I hate boys

NoMontagues · 11/05/2014 12:46

a handful of some randomers pissy penis hand

Grin Grin

No thanks!

LilMissSunshine9 · 11/05/2014 12:57

I fractured my arm and couldnt use it let alone move it for a week. Going to the loo was a one handed affair so its only time I can say I have only washed one hand. But at least I have a medical excuse.

My dad is the same, especially now he is older he doesn't wash his hands. Infact he doesn't even flush after a pee. Its gross I had a massive go at him cos I don't care what he does in his own home but don't do it when you come to my house.

Atbeckandcall · 11/05/2014 13:05

Sorry OP but this had made me a little green around the gills.

Atbeckandcall · 11/05/2014 13:07

Sorry posted too early.

I wouldn't be with a man who didn't have the respect to have a decent level of personal hygiene.

Certainly wouldn't shake hands with him never mind humping! Confused

MoreSkyThanWeNeed · 11/05/2014 13:11

Ffs, I would be really angry at DH if he did that.
It's not hard to wash your hands. Ick.

Objection · 11/05/2014 14:50

YABU - but only because your post made me Google "brown tongue"

RedRoom · 11/05/2014 16:40

YANBU. Having just googled 'brown tongue', I am appalled that anyone could think that having that condition and drinking from a shared milk carton is okay!! As for the hand washing- utterly revolting.

I would not be able to kiss him or have sex with him. I am not kidding.

Golferman · 11/05/2014 16:50

Ach it's what men do. Don't forget we also do the scratch and sniff test on our nether regions too.

Sparklingbrook · 11/05/2014 16:52

It's what disgusting men do. yes Golfer. i seem to have got myself a nice one.

5Foot5 · 11/05/2014 16:52

But how do you know about his hand washing habits in the toilet? I don't think this is anything I have ever discussed with my DH of 27 years I just assume he is hygienic sine he seems to be in every other way!

I think that drinking milk out of the bottle is a really disgusting thing to do whatever the colour of his tongue.

Fairenuff · 11/05/2014 16:54

My dh always washes his hands. He doesn't 'scratch and sniff' either, what the hell is that all about, what are you is he sniffing for? Shock

Sparklingbrook · 11/05/2014 16:55

i think Golfer has overshared a bit too much there.....

Fairenuff · 11/05/2014 16:55

You can hear the toilet flush though 5foot5 and hear the taps running and see that the towel has been used, etc.

Shockers · 11/05/2014 16:56

His one wet hand may not be the result of a rinse under the tap....

Elbows are useful for opening doors.

Sparklingbrook · 11/05/2014 16:58

I hear DH flush the loo, then the taps go on. Plus the liquid soap is being used up. the DSs wash their hands too. Shock

nobody swigs from bottles in this house. Tis the rules....

SecretWitch · 11/05/2014 17:02

WTF, is a 'scratch and sniff'? I think I may need a lie down after this one..

OP, your dh is disrespecting you, your children and your milk! What value add does he bring to your relationship? Also, how do impress the need for hygiene and no milk snuffling on your children when their dad does not follow basic rules?

LettertoHerms · 11/05/2014 17:02

Penguin I remember your posts on the other thread. Sad

I really hope you can start planning an exit strategy and things look up for you soon.

Golferman · 11/05/2014 17:07

Nah, all men do it just some do it surreptitiously

Sparklingbrook · 11/05/2014 17:09

They don't Golfer, but why do you do it?

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 11/05/2014 17:19

Yes, all those things are minging.

Not only does he appear to have little respect for himself but he appears to have absolutely none for you.

If he's always done these things it's your fault for picking him, if he's only quite recently started doing them he's stopped caring what you think about anything.

JamJimJam · 11/05/2014 17:23

How revolting. I am not surprised you don't sleep with him.
