Baby pics on FB

AIBU a friend mentioned to me the other day about how great it will be to put cute baby pics on fb once i have had a baby, but i turned around and said i wont be because it is wrong on so many levels IMHO and i (think) i would be too busy caring for baby doing the laundry for baby sterilising bottles etc to even sit down and finish an entire hot drink and watch 30 mins of tv if i did have spare time it would mean something needed doing and i wasnt doing it, plus i don't know what my facebook friends do in there spare time or what goes through their minds (if it was that easy to detect a pedo they wouldn't exist) even though my entire FB is privatised and i don't allow followers of people to find me in search engines someone could still hack my account for the heck of it and see pics of my PFB AIBU i'd rather keep my children off facebook and the internet until it their own choice whether or not they want to become a part of that at 16.

I don't hold with that there modern photo taking lark. Taking your film to be developed by strangers who might look at the pictures.

I think anyone who has photos of their kids on show in their house are mad too as any one could just see them if they came to read the meter or something

OP are you also intending to only dress your child in bleached white baby clothes? Hmm

How on earth do you know if your baby will be demanding. You have absolutely no way of knowing that. My pfb was a dream. She slept most of the day and when awake was very content. My house was spotless, bills paid and a lovely tea made for dh. Then i decided what to do with the other 6 hours before dh came home. I have 3 now and my life doesnt resemble that time at all and is very busy but i still manage to find time to surf, drink a hot cup of tea, ring a friend or post a pic on fb.

Also all this hysteria about someone looking at your child and getting his kicks baffles me. Someone may have taken a pic at the park or on the beach of my dc, taken it home and had a right good time but it is just a picture not the actual child. Noone is hurting my dc at all. lt is unlikely to happen anyway. There are more revealing pics (unfortunately) out there for these kind of people.

"who puts bleach near baby clothing ??"

Everyone who isn't prepared to throw away the clothes that the baby pees, poops & pukes on, or other otherwise stains.

i always though bleach was for cleaning toilets and maybe a stinky drain or sticky floor but i dont think id ever put it on any clothes not even mine i did spill some on an old t shirt cleaning the loo once and it turned the whole area yellowy white i think if my PFB got a stain on their clothes id wash it through and try some vanish or something similar but as long as the stain was washed and didn't smell and the clothes were clean otherwise it wouldn't bother me Confused its just clothes that they will grow out of next to no time i think bleach is a bit OCD extreme

No, it's not.

White baby clothes are impractical?

Someone had better tell the manufacters then! I found them the easiest. Save them up, bung them in a full load together with a bit of vanish if needed, let the sun bleach out any stains.

Love white clothes on babies.

Id rather dress my PFB in colourful clothes that hide stains well also white clothes seem a bit boring and washed out would like it if PFB could look down at themselves and see a nice funky outfit with pretty pictures on it :) thats just me though (also not sure if baby can look down like when they are sat in a bouncer chair lol

Dress your baby however you like. Who cares?

Learn about the uses of bleach, though, and why they might be used on baby clothes. Ignorance and paranoia don't go well together, imho.

You don't have a baby. Are you even pregnant? How on earth do you have so many firm beliefs and opinions about what to do with a baby? Hmm

I doubt the OP is even old enough to have a baby....

Also learn how to spell paranoia PP Wink think judging by your misspelling your frothing at the mouth whilst tripping over your keyboard looking for an argument about pouring bleach on your child's clothes and how right you are to do it !! LOL when i do have a child i couldn't care less if they have a little stain on their tiny little outfit because they will be out of it in next to no time like i said as long as it is clean and i know it is then it is fine for use stain are merely a cosmetic blemish and since its a baby not an accessory i couldnt give two hoots about stains and also i want my child to have some defense against germs i don't think keeping them in a germ free state of existence with shiny bleached clothes will do them or their skin much favours :D goodbye off back to my TTC thread now me and all the lovelies on there will make great parents in our own little ways while you just sit here and gnash your teeth waiting for an argument ..

Are you talking to me? Pray tell which "misspelling" you are talking about. I spelled 'paranoia' exactly as you did. Correctly.

You have no idea what it is like or what you will actually be doing when (if) you have a baby. Anyone with the sense that God promised a doorknob would not think she knows babies & what you do with them better than mums who have already done the baby stage. Not you, clearly. You sound lovely Hmm

You should save this thread for when you have a baby. We have all probably said things prior to dcs that now we think- oh lord what was I thinking!!
im pretty sure non of my friends are paedophiles, but if they were, im not sure my sleeping baby wrapped in a blanket would do it for them. But there you go.
Plus, you do have quite a bit of time on your hands with a newborn. Unless you are planning on hand washing I suppose. Plus the years go so fast, sitting down with a soft, cuddly baby who cannot wriggle away are some of my favourite times

How bizarre. How do you think women have been cleaning cloth nappies for years OP? Bleach?
And was it just me, or did you suggest that PPs weren't good parents because they are having an "argument" on the internet? I mean, I don't see an argument personally but that insinuation was quite offensive.

OP, you know how you plan to spend all your time sterilising bottles? You do realise that, unless you plan to spend hours boiling them, you will be using steriliser tablets which use, um, bleach?
