To wonder if it is too early for the summer duvet?

I'm so hot right now in my winter duvet! I have been to Zumba this evening but I'm feeling like this even on the days where I don't exercise! Is it unreasonable to get the summer duvet out?! I can't be the only one, surely?

It's a toughie

greensnail · 07/05/2014 00:16

I switched last week because I'd been waking up far too hot in the mornings. However, dh is away this week so now the bed is feeling really cold without him in it and I'm regretting the switch.

Monty27 · 07/05/2014 00:16

No, I haven't I feel the cold.

Just keep your window open a bit on warmish nights for now.

Oldraver · 07/05/2014 00:21

DS has already asked for his summer duvet (really his bedspread as he uses the summer duvet in winter)

Its not summer though till he gives up the vests

ThingsThatShine · 07/05/2014 01:01

No, I have had summer duvet for a few months already!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 07/05/2014 07:13

I've had ours on for weeks now!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 07/05/2014 07:14

Changed ours weeks ago.

LotsaTuddles · 07/05/2014 07:16

I've been meaning to get ours out too. I'm pg (I turn into an oven when pg) and DH has been complaining that I'm slowly cooking him making him really hot

ClearlyMoo · 07/05/2014 07:18

Summer duvet has been on for over a month here!

JuniperTisane · 07/05/2014 07:20

Change it over and have a nice big throw or quilt at the end of the bed for the chillier nights.

I've got my 9.5 tog on, I will change to the 4.0 tog this month I think.

Martorana · 07/05/2014 07:23

If you're too hot it's not too early.

[deeply baffled emoticon] [wondering yet again if there's some sort of life rule book that everyone was issued with that she missed out on emoticon]

You're a tough lot. It is way too cold where I live to split our duvet right now.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 07/05/2014 07:30

We never use both parts of ours together, it's either the 9 tog or the 4.5 tog, the 9 tog started feeling too hot about a month ago. We live in the SE though, might be different elsewhere.

BookFairy · 07/05/2014 08:05

I changed mine in early March. I hate being too hot and night!

HungryHorace · 07/05/2014 08:24

We've had ours on since December as I'm pregnant and would be way too hot with even the autumn, let alone the winter, duvet on.

Poor DH has to wear a t shirt in bed to keep warm enough! :-)

popcornpaws · 07/05/2014 08:25

Put the 4 tog on a few weeks ago, its great having a lightweight duvet on again.
Had to put a throw at the bottom of the bed for dh who was frozen and trying to talk me into putting the 10 tog back on. No chance!

Revengeofthechocolatebunny · 07/05/2014 08:30

When it's warm enough to not need bed socks. That's usually about 3 days in late July. Grin And occurs around about the time that I defuzz the legs for summer. I'm such a catch. DP is so lucky to have me. Wink

Revenge... you may be my long lost twin sister!

skittycat · 07/05/2014 08:32

Definitely not too early. I moved to my 'summer' blanket a couple of months back!

HercShipwright · 07/05/2014 08:34

I'm still on 2 duvets and a hot water bottle. Grin

Bunbaker · 07/05/2014 08:35

"Revenge... you may be my long lost twin sister!"

Or are both both my triplets?

Alicebannedit · 07/05/2014 08:39

O.K. to change over now I would think - so long as you leave the electric underblanket in place for emergencies Grin
