To wonder if it is too early for the summer duvet?

I'm so hot right now in my winter duvet! I have been to Zumba this evening but I'm feeling like this even on the days where I don't exercise! Is it unreasonable to get the summer duvet out?! I can't be the only one, surely?

Lecky blanket and winter duvet still the order of the day here.

HercShipwright · 07/05/2014 15:14

We have to have the window open unless it's blowing a gale or snowing, otherwise the cat can't get in and out (he refuses to use the cat flap).

4.5 tog all the year round DH gets too hot Hmm and I'm getting night flushes Sad
Though in winter, I insist on flannel bedding (oh, the glamour)

wishingchair · 07/05/2014 15:45

Only ever use a summer duvet ... if it gets really cold might use the 9tog one we have. Can't bear the 15tog things

DramaAlpaca · 07/05/2014 15:47

I have a 4.5 tog all the year round as well, with a cosy throw on top if necessary & socks if my feet are cold. The more menopausal I get, the less cold at night I feel Grin

fedupdownhere · 07/05/2014 15:49

4.5 tog on all year here and windows open all night (even in the middle of winter) I hate being hot

TequilaMockingbirdy · 07/05/2014 15:55

I have a duvet and a sheet, even through winter I sleep with the sheet only. I just like the duvet to put my leg over Grin

TequilaMockingbirdy · 07/05/2014 15:55

and the window open!!

Does anyone have any idea why I have night sweats? I'm only 22

EverythingsDozy · 07/05/2014 19:51

You're clearly just too damn hot! Shock Wink

I still have my electric blanket and thick winter duvet on here,

I will switch the electric blanket off when it gets warmer, but I keep my 15 tog duvet on all year round, I love being all snug and cosy in my bed.

FryOneFatManic · 07/05/2014 20:18

I'd go with whatever felt comfortable. I prefer to be cook at night, so I'm going to change to the summer quilt very soon.

DS is always a hot chap, so he's already using his summer quilt.

KatieKaye · 07/05/2014 20:36

70 - flannel bedding is the business in winter! Along with flannel jammies and a hottie. And the dog to cuddle.

CremeEggThief · 07/05/2014 22:11

No thanks, I'll stick with my 10.5 tog for another month or so! I have had the heating off for about a month, but I love being cosy in bed, even in summer.

Jelliebabe2 · 07/05/2014 22:16

We only had our new winter duvet in December. Changed it back to the summer one in January! Im now sleeping with a leg out to be cool enough!

Don't want to worry you, but back in my younger days, when I developed night sweats, it turned out to be a precursor of TB!
