Not to POAS yet?

I'm 4 days late usually clockwork to the hour... DH is sat across the room from me blissfully unaware. it's his birthday though and we've got loads of fun stuff planned all weekend - as he's never usually indulged it's nice for the focus just to be on him for once. I'm reluctant to change the mood with a big POAS drama (I definitely want to involve him in POAS drama when the time's right, not sneak off and do it on my own)

I'm thinking I might hold off till tomorrow after all the fun stuff... besides, AF could have come by then...

That's not U is it? Tell me your DH/P POAS tales...

But it's blood frustrating for all of us Hmm - how v dare you?! So, maybe YABU after all.

ViviPru · 26/04/2014 19:31

I thought that after I posted.... I hate people who do that... (i.e. me) I will be sure to update though. I've good form for that.

DH thinks I don't cope well TTC, so did a and said I wasn't to POAS until CD35.

Ahem. I POAS daily from CD29 (based on 28d cycle) and got BFP. Then sneakily POAS every day until he said on about CD33 that maybe it would be ok to POAS by now. Grin

Good luck.

ViviPru · 26/04/2014 19:35

Hilarious, Countess! You must have some hardcore pokerface......

I am the best secret keeper evah.

picnicbasketcase · 26/04/2014 19:36

I'm no help because I would definitely sneak off quietly and poas without mentioning it.

ViviPru · 26/04/2014 19:37

Picnic I've been sneakily OPKing all month and I feel wretched enough for that... I don't think I could bear surreptitious POAS. I'm a wimp.

OP posts:
PacificDogwood · 26/04/2014 19:37

Oh, yes, I'd secretly POAS too - I could not bear not to. But would be perfectly capable of keeping the result to myself Grin

Yeah, I think I hate you, ViviPru Wink

PacificDogwood · 26/04/2014 19:37

ViviPru · 26/04/2014 19:39

It took me 2 years to conceive DS2 and lots of failed POAS moments. So when I felt a bit queasy on the way from home from work one evening, I thought I would test the next day. I stopped at a chemist on my way to work the next day and POAS in work having zero expectation of it being positive. It was. And I was in work. I really wished DH was with me when it happened.
Would it be a fab birthday present for you to bring in a positive result? But if it isn't, could you throw it away and pretend it never happened just this once? Also, would you want to mimimise drinking if you think you are pregnant (assuming you would be to celebrate DH's birthday - just being practical)?
Hope it works out and let us know! :)

ShakesBootyFlabWobbles · 26/04/2014 19:45

another cross post oops

ViviPru · 26/04/2014 19:51

Thanks for sharing, Shakes. What a bittersweet moment for you!

Yeah he'd be thrilled; it'd be a great 'present' but then it has the potential to completely overshadow exciting mystery birthday adventure trip tomorrow, we'll be so busy OMGing and freaking out that we'd not be fully present in the experience, that'd be a shame....

I' not a big drinker anyway so he'd probably not be alerted if I didn't drink. Though now you've mentioned that, i'm shitting a brick he'll expect me to share a bottle of wine tonight... I will feign a headache...

Just say you don't want to be hungover tomorrow.

ShakesBootyFlabWobbles · 26/04/2014 19:58

Have a lovely evening and I will log back in tomorrow to see the POAS result Grin

Mandatorymongoose · 26/04/2014 20:10

I'm not a good secret keeper Blush .

We tried for over a year with Ds, I did a sneaky POAS just after DH left for work because I didn't want to say anything if it was negative again. Got BFP and immediately phoned DH who got a bit giddy with the excitement and nearly got hit by a bus! He ended up coming home and taking the day as leave because he couldn't wait to see me and couldn't concentrate at work.

Have fun tonight and good luck!

Andrewofgg · 26/04/2014 20:15

Mandatorymongoose Love it!

Will one of you let me into a secret? How much does each stick cost these days? It's now a few weeks short of thirty years since a POAS disclosed to DW and me that the big healthy junk who calls me Dad was on the say and at that time they cost a fiver a time!

WaitMonkey · 26/04/2014 20:20

Marking place, sorry. Grin

CountessOfRule · 26/04/2014 20:22

Andrewofgg · 26/04/2014 20:27

Andrewofgg · 26/04/2014 20:28
