Gurning face of Farage and some xenophobic, dumbed-down message about immigrants. I'm normally quite a calm person but this leaflet has me reaching for the matches. Nazis the lot of them

  • I know all 3 of my sons feel very let down by the libdems re tuition fees. So do I! Really hope Nick Clegg and the rest lose their deposits in 2015

I am sure I read that the very idea of sending post like this came from people doing it too the LiB DEms?

I think all the three major parties have totally lost touch with the electorate, many factions feel dis enfranchised.

Loathe or like UKIP but their very existence is forcing a change in politics...and not just in immigration but the very basics of simply listening to people. They are also making people engaged in policits, again whether you are for or against they are something to get worked up over, which again is a good thing when only a few years ago we were fighting totally voting apathy.

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 01/05/2014 20:41

I gave mine to the dogs. I'm going to send the slobbery remains back to them.

piscivorous · 01/05/2014 20:57

I don't like UKIP but they are the only party we have had any contact from for ages, because we live in a safe seat they think it's not worth campaigning so we don't usually get anything from them. I agree the other parties are out of touch and totally dismissive of ordinary people so UKIP are serving a purpose in shaking things up.

So Nige is a bit forthright on immigration , He doesn't like the EU much either, You lot want to be angry at a politician, try Blair , 250000 Iraqi dead and still counting.......................

dawndonnaagain · 02/05/2014 18:27

But that's not what is being discussed is it Julia.

Juliaparker25 · 02/05/2014 18:42

Well you are talking about political views , Nige is not popular on here obviously , its just a question of priorities , Unlike Blair, Nige has not ordered the dropping of cluster weapons containing flechettes (Google them they are quite nasty and made by Gillette, same people that make leg shavers)........Priorities... just get them in the right order.

Twit · 02/05/2014 18:56

It's no accident all these dodgy people coming out and spouting their shit. They get the message out there, then they get a wrist slap so that normal people think the party is against said shit.

I've had ukip leaflet but nothing else yet.

Twit · 02/05/2014 18:58

Xposted. I'm not saying that wrt any posters being dodgy yet

BigRedBall · 03/05/2014 13:42

I got ANOTHER one with today's post Confused Angry. Wtf?

IwinIwin · 03/05/2014 16:04

YANBU, though shove it in the recycle bin- much more environmentally friendly. I get so much crap from all the different parties, all sit happily in front of the place in the recycle bin along with the religious properganda and dominos leaflets. I've seen someone clock them in the recycle bin, still deliver (when I'm standing by my door) and watch as it goes straight back with the others.

Just out of interest don't things like this count as 'cold calling'. I have a sign saying 'no crap' essentially and the whole area is a big no no for cold callers yet we still get leaflets and loads of cold callers trying to chat while delivering.

Quinnypin · 04/05/2014 01:44

Vagabond, I'll happily go into exactly why UKIP are homophobic, racist and misogynistic, complete with sources - how long have you got?

Darkesteyes · 04/05/2014 01:48

Julia I AM pissed at Blair too Ppl can be angry about more than one thing you know

nennypops · 04/05/2014 08:10

Loving the logic of voting for Farage because he hasn't authorised the dropping of cluster bombs. For that matter, I haven't either, can I be PM?

Sallyingforth · 04/05/2014 11:09

Good point nenny. You'd probably do a better job than Farage.

BackOnlyBriefly · 04/05/2014 11:20

Anyone got any idea what the leaflets actually say?....

anyone?

HappyAgainOneDay · 04/05/2014 12:28

Rather a coincidence that this thread appeared shortly before the election for MEPs, isn't it?

Sallyingforth · 04/05/2014 13:33

Coincidence before the election?

The thread is about the UKIP election leaflet FFS !

KleineDracheKokosnuss · 04/05/2014 14:15

What worries me about the leaflets is that I've only had them from the 5 different 'we hate the EU' parties standing on this area, plus the Lib Dems. Wouldn't be so bad but the Lib Dem's leaflet seems to just say "we're not the anti-EU parties" rather than actually telling me what they think they stand for.

Can't work out what to do this time round. Vote for the Tories just to ensure the crazies don't get in? Spoil the ballot? Give up and move to the continent?

noddyholder · 04/05/2014 14:17

Rather than burning leaflets and asking AIBU we need to take a look at what has happened in this country to lead us to a place where UKIP are seen as a 'choice'. And whether we like it or not they are Sad

ShellyBoobs · 04/05/2014 18:49

I find the usual Mumsnet consternation at anything other than left-wing politics hilarious.

I can't stand Farage and would never vote for UKIP as I don't want the UK out of Europe but if people think that the left bias on here is in any way representative of the UK as a whole, they're sorely mistaken.

The only thing worse that UKIP gaining any power is the thought of Labour gaining seats in any election. If those bellends have their way we're all fucked, in the EU or out of it...
