Gurning face of Farage and some xenophobic, dumbed-down message about immigrants. I'm normally quite a calm person but this leaflet has me reaching for the matches. Nazis the lot of them

Deface it and post it back to them at their own expense.

BuzzardBird · 30/04/2014 16:11

The Independant has just reported how UKIP are getting sent huge boxes of rubbish along with their flyers that are costing them about £5 a time! Grin I love it.

I don't know OP - I think the leaflets are really useful. You see there's this lovely poster in there saying "I'm voting UKIP in the European elections" and now I know which of my neighbours to avoid!

WilsonFrickett · 30/04/2014 16:46

Get a pole.
Wrap it up in the leaflet.
Send it back freepost with a note saying, 'as you requested, poles out of .

I am gutted I haven't had a leaflet yet.

(OK, I probably cba to send the pole, but I will definitely send back the leaflet at their expense)

Sallyingforth · 30/04/2014 16:47

There was an item on the R4 lunchtime news today about Farage not standing at the coming by-election. The UKIP man excused him by saying they would prefer to have 'a local man'.
I couldn't decide whether he was saying a woman wouldn't be good enough for them, or that they didn't expect any female candidates because women had more sense!

nagynolonger · 30/04/2014 17:05

I flushed the one we got down the toilet because DS 18 tried to post it in his bedroom window. I suspect he will vote UKIP. All his friends intend to vote for them apparently. Not a lot I can do about it.

LEMmingaround · 30/04/2014 17:15

i tore mine up and put it in the bin, i am having a hell of a day so i was quite disappointed when i realise it was the postman who delievered it as i went out there looking to tackle them if they were posting it themselves. Saying that, the others went in the bin too!

LEMmingaround · 30/04/2014 17:17

So let me get this straight - if you repost the leaflet, it goes back to them and they have to pay??

SelectAUserName · 30/04/2014 17:21

I haven't received a leaflet, but I really hope I do so I can send the pieces back to their Freepost address in a number of envelopes.

marl · 30/04/2014 17:31

Not unreasonable. I lay in wait for the old guy posting this filthy stuff through my letter box after the first mailing. I nearly jumped on the poor labour guy by mistake. Eventually caught the blighter and sent him scuttling down the road looking fearful... Perhaps because I'm brown rather than what I said to him about his offensive post Grin.

Renniehorta · 30/04/2014 17:32

The postman delivered 2 leaflets today; one from UKIP and one from the BNP. They are the only political leaflets I have received so far.

Its just awful that the Royal Mail is delivering this stuff.

Darkesteyes · 30/04/2014 17:40

nagy my 19 yr old niece said the same WTF is the appeal of UKIP for young people I wonder.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 30/04/2014 17:43

Its just awful that the Royal Mail is delivering this stuff

I think they have too. I think each party is entitled to Royal Mail delivered mail shot or something.

nagynolonger · 30/04/2014 17:57

Darkesteyes......Really don't know what the appeal is. I know all 3 of my sons feel very let down by the libdems re tuition fees. So do I! Really hope Nick Clegg and the rest lose their deposits in 2015.

Anyone who thinks UKIP only appeal to the 50+ down the golf club are making a big mistake.

My 18 year old basically thinks he doesn't tick any boxes ie is male/white/straight so everything is against him. He's young, never managed to get part time job, will be in enormous debt after university.

WoTmania · 30/04/2014 17:57

YANBU - mine came through today. Shame it's shiny or it would have been useful for lighting the fire. I might send it back as I'm definitely NOT displaying the poster on page 4-5

WilsonFrickett · 30/04/2014 17:58

They are entitled to communicate with the electorate, I have no problem with getting a leaflet from any party, much as I hate ukip.

I more object to the Scottish govt 'newspapers' which are popping into my letterbox regularly which I suspect are paid for by govt money yet are a thinly disguised Indy propaganda piece.

FatalCabbage · 30/04/2014 18:03

Wilson the Scottish Office is using Buzzfeed to illustrate some of it points. The mind boggles.

I wish there were someone to vote for rather than against

LEMmingaround · 30/04/2014 18:20

www.thepoke.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/BVfRyWqCAAAb8sS.jpg i quite liked the sentiment here! I may get that printed and hand them out to any ukip candidates who knock at my door.

WilsonFrickett · 01/05/2014 20:04

i wish there were someone to vote for rather than against

I'm really glad you said that. I thought it was just me...

FatalCabbage · 01/05/2014 20:12

I know. It follows on from that recent "What would you tell the Labour leadership" thread where 95%+ of posters were saying "we have no idea what you want or stand for any more".

Chivesmum · 01/05/2014 20:19

Let it go for recycling. And go and vote on May 22nd for someone else.

this this a hundred times this!!!
