Took dd to MacDonalds today. For us this is a holiday treat as we enjoy the odd burger, although dd is really just lured by the plastic tat in the happy meal TBH. She is slim and eats normally rest of time.

But, bloody hell, the people in there were beyond belief really. Makes me realize how other families actually live and why the health of the country is as it is.

Family 1- all huge, and the youngest dd (aged about 9) was definitely the fattest and not only that she was eating a full sized meal, and worst of all was wearing a full red velour lipsy tracksuit with gold embroidery!!!!!

Family 2- Two boys with their dad, all sat vacantly staring at their food and munching away. First boy opens his (supersize) fries and says "wheres the salt?" Dad doesn't say anything, just fishes in the papers on his tray and passes packet of salt to child. The chips are ALREADY covered in far too much salt, especially for kids, and if the child asks for salt this makes me think this is a regular thing for him, to cover his food in salt.

Don't these people take any responsibility for their health AT ALL?

If OP has to wear HUGE judgypants (to MacDdonalds or anywhere else) does that mean that she's not quite as slim as she'd like to believe?

My judgeypants are quite small. But they disappear up my humungous bum and chafe horribly, so I tend not to wear them.

Problem as as it ever was. Twatty people think everyone else is twatty just like them.

Migsy (from Silence of the Lambs, perhaps?) suits you

I'm not surprised that you can't tell the difference between judging and doing something differently. I really don't mind what other people do in terms of handling their own selves as it doesn't impact on me.

People post their views and thankfully, get them challenged when they're completely unreasonable/vile/offensive to other people. If you don't like that then perhaps take your own advice and ignore? Otherwise, post what you like, as will I.

ilovesooty identified waaaay back why the OP of this thread is receiving a bad press... changing usernames to post nasty stuff is to be held in the same regard as sending anonymous letters... low - very, very low.

Somepercentage... I've said that I have very fair skin. Because of that I have suncream/spray with me most of the time (even in the UK). If I see somebody burning/burnt, I offer it. I don't mind if they accept or they don't. I've never felt that I've insulted them and never received that in a response. Clear?

Lying Ouch! I'm sobbing uncontrollably into my tissue

Grin... as long as it's only tears in that tissue, Migsy.

I did have to Google that one but yes, I can assure you it is only tears.

I think I need brain bleach because I've remembered it since first seeing the film. Sad

All I see in the original post is someone bullying a young girl for her size and what she is wearing.

Nice

Not necessarily bullying - because she didn't actually say anything - but judging her and laughing at her (in her head, but still nasty, IMO).

I haven't been to McDonalds since approximately 1996

The DDs and me love a McDonalds,

In Scotland, and our chips always come with salt on, you can ask for extra if you want it, I love dipping them in the sweet and sour sauce.

OP sounds a right nasty piece of work, laughing and judging a child, lovely.

I want a Quarter Pounder now.

I also judge myself when I have sunburn and myself when I see ds1 with 3rd degree burns from just seeing the sun!

Not so much with mcdonalds

I judge my self when I get sunburn, happens so damn easily.

As my DD said, if you are going to judge people eating in MDs at least be standing outside yourself!

I judge people with sun burn...there I've said it,

AAARRGHHHHH!!!!
Thanks for that.

Factor 50 sun cream. Reapplied regularly. DOES NOT WORK.

Instead I get strange looks for long sleeve tops in 40C heat. And huge floppy hats. And sitting in the shade. And I still catch the sun.

My only hope is staying inside. Away from windows.

I got sunburnt in Feb much to DH's amusement.

Its clearly a medical condition for which I should be excused.
