What would you think if MNHQ asked you to strip for a charadee calendar

Because that's what they're asking Gransnetters to do and I think it's utterly depressing.

Although I'm not a gran even though I'm old enough I like going on the GN site because they have some interesting discussions.

One of the members came up with the idea of posing for a calendar and HQ have taken up the idea and want volunteers to have their photos taken with pieces of technology covering their "bits". This is to dispel the image that older people, ie over 45, don't know how to use technology.

So would you strip for a MN calendar and how would you feel if HQ mooted the idea?

No ageist comments please.

But if it's going to be well classy, they need to start planning early to get it sorted for November/December.
Otherwise it'll be a cheap photocopy with wobbly artwork...

Sadly, not is about time to think about planning a calendar for next year- these things take a ludicrous amount of time. So -not a killer point. We'll just have to fall back on taste, dignity, feminism and sense.

Well using the ludicrous assumption that women over 45 struggle with technology, I imagine it will be produced using a 35mm film camera which will be sent off for prints and then they will need to use the photostat.

If my mother in law takes the pictures there are bound to be several thumbs in shot, not to mention strange lighting and chopped off heads.

(sorry for the ageism)

No K8 - they'll get a man in to take the photographs.

Zombie doesn't mind the idea of charity calendars per se but this one doesn't seem to have a good focus. What charity is even loosely connected with 'older' women and the use of technology?

If MNHQ would like to do a proper charity calendar with the proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie Cancer Care I'd be more than willing to document my upcoming treatment. I've already posted a photo on here of my first mastectomy scar and in 2 weeks I'll have a matching one on the other side. It's too early to know whether I will need another course of chemotherapy but it's a strong possibility. If so, I can document the hair loss, the aging effects of the utter debilitation that chemo causes and then end on a happy note when my hair grows back all lovely and curly.

I think it would be a giggle and I jump at the chance :)
I'd have to buy bloody large Belgium buns to hide behind

CariGransnet - it doesn't matter that a member, Dr or pleb Confused came up with the idea; why the hell are you promoting it?
