I was out running at 7 am, it wasn't warn then! Sky was blue but it was freezing.... Maybe they all set off out early

What is PO?

PO seems to be a term used by people who want to justify the use of discriminatory language.

The use of the word mental in this context is offensive in my opinion.

I'm in London, I wore a coat and scarf to walk the dogs this morning so YABU, it was chilly.

If they're still wearing coats at this time, I suspect, as it is London, they might be like my DH, and be from abroad and think that anything under 25C is freezing.

I think we have a long way to go to raise awareness of language as it relates to mental health.

Words like imbecile, cretin, moron and idiot (and so many others) do circulate endlessly outside of their original contexts but it shouldn't be impossible to think of other terms which aren't tainted in some way.

After all, language should be imaginative and should also evolve.

But to give another answer to the OP, some people just feel the cold more.

I think people wrapped up are less odd than the woman I have just seen.
She was wearing sandals, shorts and a little vest top - it is sunny here but only 11 degrees!!

I was about to say the same as Mama Pain. I'm in a very hot country right now (high 40s common in summer). The first year I was here I was astounded to see children bundled up in big coats and balaclavas when it got down to 25. This year, I resorted to wearing a coat...

I went to London yesterday, it was cold when I went to the station, hot around lunchtime, then cold on my way home.
