Thread inspired by another. I was quite shocked by some of the pretty judgemental posts regarding someone's sexual partner number...

What's your number?
Would you admit it if asked?
Are you ashamed of your sexually history?

I can't say I kept a tally but I would say between 35-40 and I would admit it depending on company and alcohol consumption.

For example I wouldn't admit it to my folks but probably would during a daft game of truth or dare down the pub with mate.

100% unashamed.

I've spent 11 of my 12 sexually active years in monogamous relationships. If I'd been long-term single then it might be in quadruple figures as I'm not cut out for celibacy.

This is why I think numbers are meaningless. My number is only moderate because I've spent most of my adult life in serious relationships. Had my first marriage worked then it would've stayed at 1.

I will be 70 next month. I was married to 3 of them and a virgin when I was 19. Dh1 was first. I never committed adultery. One was just once and all 3 'extras' were between dh1 and dh2 so 4 before I was 25.

Tbh I haven't got a fucking clue & nor do I care, haven't kept a tally but think it's probably over 10 but less than 20...

There was more laughter at my number than any of the others at a hen party. Think i should have fibbed !

I never felt the need to count.

I never sacrificed a passionate sexual experience because of fears I would be judged by anyone in my life or on the internet.

Not ashamed at all, I just don't understand why anyone else would be remotely interested, care or be able to form some judgement about me.

I cannot understand why couples feel the need to discuss this. I honestly couldn't give a stuff what my DH did sexually before me.

The most interesting has just occurred to me...my dh of 20 years has NEVER asked me! I actually really love him right now. And by the way it's at least 30 over a 10 year period before we met.

No shame but certainly no wish to share that on a national forum in the same way I have no desire to share my bra size.
