I am an alcoholic in recovery. When I was drinking I could drink three bottles of wine and get up for work the next morning. I could also have phone conversations, and send emails that made perfect sense after drinking that amount. God knows how. It can be done. I do worry about anyone with that sort of tolerance though, but I appreciate that I come at this kind of topic with a very biased view! The OP was basically saying this was a one off and a treat as her kids were away. You'd need to be a serious and very regular drinker to be able to do that. I can drink 5 large glasses
1 and a half bottles I guess
But I feel like death the next day

To be fair, nowhere does the OP say that she normally doesn't drink much. She said it was a rare free night, which is different.

She has to be either very young, or a regular binge drinker, or indeed both, to survive 2 full bottles plus a bit more.

Amazing that she appears to be OK; not so amazing that she didn't post yesterday.

Last night I had two large g and t's and half a bottle of wine. I woke up at 130pm!
