to wonder what a dadsnet would look like?

There are so many threads about seemingly useless husbands/dads/boyfriends. I wonder if a dadsnet would have an equal number of threads about useless wives/mothers/girlfriends.

great answer Troglodad. Life must be difficult when you're so sensitive River. This thread made me laugh loads, and introduced me to the classic picloax thread.

Toadinthehole said what I was trying to say. Smile

Bloke1: Turn right at the B1255 junction and you'll avoid the traffic works just before the Sainsbury's interchange.

Bloke2: Depends on what time of day. After 22:00 it's probably worth taking a risk and heading down the A452 in the hope that you'll miss the snarl up around the huge elephant's head that's been planted by the side of the road.

Bloke3: Elephant's head has been cleared.

Bloke1: Thanks mate

I'd reported this thread but the reply from HQ was that it was okay and 'light-hearted'.
So one presumes that it will be really okay to post a load of rubbish about women so long as it's "light-hearted" in a stupid kind of way?

Piechomper · 03/03/2014 22:23

You reported this thread? Holy shit. Can I direct you to say, Amnesty International, where your outrage at injustice can be usefully channelled?

UnderYourCommand · 03/03/2014 22:27

of course you can re-direct me. Not outrage btw, just an obs on ridiculous double standards. 'Outrage' use suggests you should calm yourself.

UnderYourCommand · 03/03/2014 22:28

and AI do some really good work, on your behalf. Not that you would have any slight notion of that.

well they are 'close to the truth' as it seems most women are happy with the stereo-types being mentioned - ultimately though they nicely pidgeon-hole men where its comfortable to manage i.e. we hope and expect not much from you, so we can playfully bitch about you on the interweb. IN a light-hearted way of course.

how thick am I? how would I know that, nobody's ever measured it

I suspect they have measured it, but were too gentle to tell you the result. At least based on current performance.

2rebecca · 03/03/2014 22:51

The men I know aren't interested in examining feelings and relationships. If they can be bothered to type stuff inot a computer (rather than just play games) it's usually sport/ hobby related and a combination of practical stuff and light hearted banter. They take life less seriously

UnderYourCommand · 03/03/2014 22:54

oh yes the search facility - yes I do make some generalised gender-based comments, as HQ indicates it's okay to do that. Some such things are inaccurate, some, like these here, aren't.

I'm a man and I think the thread is funny.

I'm not really a man.

The thread is funny though, despite what some personality-challenged silly billies are trying to claim.
