There are so many threads about seemingly useless husbands/dads/boyfriends. I wonder if a dadsnet would have an equal number of threads about useless wives/mothers/girlfriends.

OP posts:

Well you wouldn't get any of that "AIBU? My sister in law's best friends, children's nanny is going out with a guy who once used to know the owner of that restaurant where the Spanish girl who used to to children's face painting for parties - well you know she had that friend that I met once for 30 seconds in a crowded pub? Well last week I saw her go past at 30mph in a bus and she didn't see or acknowledge me....should I take the children out of school and home school them to avoid any future problems with that BITCH!!!"

Would you. It's quiet on Dadsnet because Dads think about the issue sort it out and get on with their lives without having to share/seek approval in a micromanaged way.

UnderYourCommand · 03/03/2014 11:56

God is this shoite of a thread still here?

Nah it's quiet over there cause it's boring and AIBU is way more fun

MarmaladeShatkins · 03/03/2014 12:08

LOL at why it's quiet on Dadsnet.

It's quiet on Dadsnet because there are about fifty million other male-dominated forums on the inernet where men go to bitch and whine about their wives refusing to teabag them or whatever the pressing issue of their day is. A tiny corner of a huge, fast-moving forum dominated by women, being quiet is not indicative of mens overall presence on the internet.

Nah.

I like men. I am married to one and am raising one. I even count some of them as friends.

Thankfully, I do tend to choose the ones without sticks inserted firmly into their arses, so they would have taken my previous post with the jest it was intended. :)

UnderYourCommand · 03/03/2014 14:11

Ah the 'sense of humour' fail we've heard before.

Sorry, who are you, UnderYourCommand? Have we engaged? Confused

Huh? You said I had a low opinion of men. I'm saying that ironic posts on a forum do not mean that I hate men or think little of them.

Do you not see the difference between being knowingly 'sexist' and being maliciously sexist?

HelpfulChap · 03/03/2014 14:29

Personally i think this is a blinding thread.

Some of the imaginary replies to imaginary scenarios sums me up to a tee.

Bit TOO accurate.

UnderYourCommand · 03/03/2014 14:58

Hogwash - you do like to suggest that people are 'aiming' things at particular people. Are you like that in RL??

I meant quite a lot of what River indicates - women are told to 'get over it love - have you no sense of humour?'etc.
Having a boyfriend/son/dh doesn't preclude you from being a discriminatory twat.

Don't you feel a bit pathetic whinging about "sexism" because of this thread, river?

Toughen up mate ffs - you're giving me a headache. Wink

Is this the wrong time to say I don't understand the teabag comment?

:-)

Toadinthehole · 03/03/2014 18:05

I'm male and I was enjoying this thread.

Making jokes on the basis that men don't sweat the small stuff is hardly demeaning to men. Oh well - as you were.
