to wonder what a dadsnet would look like?

There are so many threads about seemingly useless husbands/dads/boyfriends. I wonder if a dadsnet would have an equal number of threads about useless wives/mothers/girlfriends.

The way the thread has gone, and always was likely to.

southeastastra · 02/03/2014 21:23

if my dp were on mn he would be as offensive as possible just to wind everyone up

Troglodad · 02/03/2014 21:31

I post on a dad's forum elsewhere, mostly our energy is dedicated to secretly upholding the patriarchy, obviously, and not talking about nappies. contraptions and extremely tasteless jokes or anything.

It would probably be full of threads about football, sex and cars. And very little about parenting.

Dwerf · 03/03/2014 00:15

Riverman Can I join? although I love strikethrough and only ever use it for self-deprecation and humour

Troglodad · 03/03/2014 00:36

Obviously there is no need for an AIBU on dadsnet.

I see the (jovial and affectionate) ribbing on this thread mainly showing men up as being less neurotic than women. They're the negative of the usual threads on here where mothers fret over every morsel they feed their DC, every word that has been uttered to them at the school gates etc. We're saying that men are less likely to give a shit. It's affectionate and, you know, not entirely serious.

But if you want to hoik your bollocks, do carry on. Hmm

gordyslovesheep · 03/03/2014 11:22

hahaha @ 'hoik your bollocks' Grin

VeggySausage · 03/03/2014 11:51

If you called out every instance of sexism directed at women river you'd never have time to eat. or sleep, or use the toilet

I'd like to pity you being a man on this thread, but I'm finding it hard and can't find my tiny violin
