Just in case there are any stray ex-BMs here, I thought I'd let you all know that BMC is finally closing tomorrow

It's a sad day but one that has been long coming.

I hope the powers that be at Mumsnet Towers won't mind me posting this here - there was never an official affiliation between the two sites but a friendly nod was sometimes exchanged.

Goodbye BMC. I made some fabulous friends there and I will miss you

I remember when a BM posted about her son. He'd misbehaved and as punishment she shut him in his room with no lightbulb. He was afraid of the dark.

She back paddled quite sharpish and tried to alter the story/defend herself later in the thread. I can only imagine what the flaming would have been like if she'd posted it here

I had two BMC babies. Ds1 was only just four when I joined...and he's in high school now...but yes, ds2 and dd were both BMC babies, conceived, birthed and weaned on a diet of BMC.
Dd will be five on Tuesday.

I think she was just really nice. I can never remember her being unkind and she gave good advice.
