I think I am addicted to shopping.....like, actually addicted.

I'm HIV+ and as is my partner. I got diagnosed through the standard blood tests you have at your 12 week check up ,and partner later that day after having a finger prick test.

Neither of us have been particularly promiscuous and one of us caught it of the other but have never played the blame game. We're two standard people with two healthy HIV free children. We're not black ,gay or into swinging ,orgies etc... And probably the healthiest we've ever been. We have regular blood tests which keep is up to date with our health (checking liver function ,iron levels etc...) even more so than some ordinary folk. We're both on medication and both undetectable ,meaning we have no active virus and laying dormant.

No one knows including our children (partner has 4 previously with his ex wife) ,apart from a few very close people. HIV doesn't mean it's the end ,for me it's been the beginning of a new me. Obviously I would still opt to be negative anyway but that's never going to happen so you've just got to get on with it !!

He was (is) horrible (and so were his children IIRC). Of course you're strong enough to leave. Your DC will thank you for it.

I got in from work on Friday to find DH rather sheepish getting ready to go to his work and he proceeded to tell me he was having a "trim" when he thought it might be easier to do with his razor and then realised he'd shaved a strip and didn't know where to stop - he has a fuzzy tummy so he looks like he is wearing a pair of bikini bottoms in reverse! I couldn't stop laughiing, I keep telling the billy Connelly last chicken in sainsburys joke and now it's growing back in he is itching like mad.

Yes, you are depressed. But it's hardest to get help when you look at your life and think, "But why?" And believe me, a lot of other people will do the same. But there are also a lot of people who will understand you precisely. Try joining some online forums for people with depression/anxiety and see that you're not alone.
GP didn't help me. They tried councelling but one said to me "you know it all already, there's nothing I can tell you" and he was right. I know how I SHOULD think. I just don't.

However there is a website called 'Mind Gym' I think that was sort of helpful, but takes a lot of time.

Take a little time to think of what YOU really want in life, and be selfish once in a while, and remember it's ok to be sad, even if you don't have a reason.

Glitz why have no arrests been made? I didn't report someone once and now I wonder if he's gone on to do it again to other women who were also too afraid to report. It's an awful process but it's getting better. I hope your sister gets help and gets through this.

It was reported straight after. The police questioned 2 men and are still waiting for the lab results to come back to see if dna matches that found in their flat. The neighbour withdrew his statement too

1. Woman wants baby, doesn't have a bf/h, finds man on interwebs willing to 'donate' sperm. He comes round, wanks into a tub (I kid you not). At some point during this romantic interlude they start chatting and are now dating. And yes, she's preggers! 2)Friends friend has cheated on her husband, a lot. One of the men was getting married to a woman on an olympic team (not saying which). She pursued him even though he kept telling her to back off, even laughing about how "He was like a rabbit caught in headlights" and that she didn't care about the woman he was marrying in 3 weeks. Then expected friends to feel sorry for her when he got married... Vile.

Glitz this situation would bring out the thug in all of us, I think. Fingers crossed for the lab tests. The neighbours have been threatened? Maybe a letter through their door letting them know how much it would mean to you if they reinstated their statement? They could ask police if their names could not be mentioned?
