To think that if the men on The Voice behaved in the same way as Kylie Minogue does there would be complaints?

I'm feeling increasingly uncomfortable about the way 45 year old Kylie is leering at teenage boys on The Voice. That coupled with suggestive comments about spending time together combined with sexy poses and raised eyebrows makes me squirm. Last night she did all of this to the 16 yr old Irish dancer in order to win him over to her team. If Ricky or Sir Tom did the same to 16 yr old girls people would be appalled.

I think she's doing herself a disservice too. Surely they should be choosing to be on her team because they think she will be a good coach, not because they fancy her.
I thought all four of them letching over the blonde woman with the split skirt last night was embarrassing.

I haven't watched this series purely because of this I watched the first episode but just found her horrible so haven't watched the rest. I ws surprised as I had expected her to be more watchable than Jessie J but she really isn't.

I think her boyfriend dumped her recently and she's desperately trying to demonstrate that she's fine absolutely about it. Kylie has always maintained this slightly false image, she knows exactly what she's doing. Creepy behaviour, though.

No I saw that too and commented on it up thread but the blonde woman was 24. I think that's sexist and unpleasant but don't find it as creepy as if any of them were doing the same to 16 yr olds, like Kylie was.

Dh and I both commented on this last night. Drooling over the (very pretty, but the dress was yuck woman) was one thing, but the suggestive talk with a 16 year old was not appropriate

After just reading Kylie is getting a £250 grand pay rise from the voice I've put my money where my mouth is and made an online complaint on the bbc website.

Agree totally OP. I am Kylie's age with a 16 year old stepson.

I felt embarrassed for her last night.

Acting like a drunken, lecherous middle aged aunty at a wedding, flirting inappropriately with young boys, desperate to hang on to the last of her looks.

Classy.

I wondered last night if I was just getting old and prudish, I'm so glad others thought the same.

It really was incredibly uncomfortable to watch.

The blokes leering other that girl in the black dress was unpleasant too.

You don't have a problem with all three men being flirty-just the one woman. Because she's over 40 and therefore shouldn't really be on TV at all, presumably.

Yanbu. I think it is also to do with the way male and female sexuality is traditionally viewed by society. Male sexuality is seen as powerful, strong and sometimes threatening whereas female sexuality is seen as non-threatening and a bit of a joke. It is why you still get adverts like the diet coke ads or that cringey olive oil spread ad with all the old ladies leering at a young man whilst they get their dog to steal his clothes. You would never get an ad like that with the gender roles reversed. But I can't imagine a 16 year old boy feeling comfortable being leered at by a much older woman (even if it is Kylie)

Although I must add I don't think she means it. I think its more a case of the Producers having a word with her and telling her to 'drum It up a little' as it were.

They need to be reminded that the show is, erm, supposed to be about the voice.

They should rename it "The Look" as even if you had the best voice if you were really hideous, you have no chance. The contestants this year are all much more "boy band" looking than last year...

YANBU. It's a shame because its a real departure from how the show used to be. I don't remember Jessie J making leery comments. The men have also been guilty of this, but not with 16 year olds which is the key point here. 16 is still a school kid. The 16 year old lads I know are still at a self conscious, slightly awkward stage and its pretty yuck for a woman well over twice that age to be making suggestive comments

She is doing my head in, makes herself look like a right tit & I always thought she was ok. Friend used to interview her & say she was lovely. She must know how awful it makes her look, all that writhing about & flicking her hair around. Gives me the rage but I like the program & love will.i.am

YANBU - last nights show was a leer fest!

I watch it with my DD (10), it was very uncomfortable watching from all judges (even Will and I love Will)

No, it's because she's behaving inappropriately with a 16 year old, who is powerless to tell her straight.

Her beauty is changing, in way that she obviously doesn't like, that's why she's filling her face full of Botox/Fillers.

Compared with Amanda Holden, who goes down the "how cute are you/ a bit of eye candy for the teenagers watching" route, which is age appropriate, to both parties. She is cringey.

A 24 year old is a fully fledged adult.

I think it ruins the show, though, this was supposed to be about finding good singers.

The way she behaved last night was just the final straw and we won't be watching it again.

Kylie with the 16 year old boy was uncomfortable viewing. A young person having innuendos and sexually suggestive comments thrown at them by one of their idols? Yuk.

The guys drooling over the blonde girl with the slit dress was also a bit disappointing.

Glad DS wasn't watching with me, I wouldn't want him thinking openly leering at people is acceptable.
