Yes,I know,I'm a bit late Grin but just started catching up on Netflix.
Have been told by lots if people that I'll love it,watched episode 4 last night & Its not grabbed me.Also annoyed by the over use of that awful term 'retard'.My daughter has CP,but that's another thing altogetherHmm
I love stuff like Homeland,True Blood,Criminal Minds,The Walking Dead but am struggling with this one??

I only have two episodes left to watch. I am REALLY hoping that jesse escapes and makes a new life. I couldn't care less what happens to walt. WOuld like to see Jesse start again, totally fresh.

yy Showy

I've just seen 12 Yrs a Slave and thought much the same. Just so relentlessly grim, which of course slavery was...

Hullygully · 06/02/2014 08:46

I've just finished The Bridge (2) as well. Disappointing as well.

Crowler · 06/02/2014 09:10

We're slowing working our way through The Bridge but those godforsaken subtitles do slow me down.

We started it about 3 weeks ago and have finished the whole thing, watching several episodes every single night! I was completely unaware of the storyline before watching and had I known what it was about I probably wouldn't have started it but we loved it, I was a bit disappointed with the ending, but I don't really know why!

I love Jesse, and Mike! Skylar, Walt and Marie drove me insane!! I thought Walt Junior was played incredibly well also.

Hullygully · 06/02/2014 09:18

They are all so formulaic and ultimately unsatisfying.

Suzannewithaplan · 06/02/2014 09:29

I think that in order to have mass appeal these things are bound to be to some extent formulaic.

Breaking bad is one of the very few things I've found watchable in recent years.
Most things I now find too dumbed down patronizing or clichéd

rainraingoAWAYNEVERCOMEBACK · 06/02/2014 09:35

I dont think BB is grim, it has grim parts yes...but ending was great.

nicename · 06/02/2014 09:41

I heard that there's a spin off in the workds and two of the main characters have signed up for it.

Banacek · 06/02/2014 11:20

YABU, I've just finished series 3 and watched the last two episodes like this Shock

I really dislike Walt, and indeed Skyler, but I'm not sure you're supposed to like them. I love Jesse and am worried for him after what happened at the end of series 3 Sad Also agree Hank is a great character - you start off thinking he's a buffoon but he's actually very sharp with great integrity.

It did take a while to get into it - I'd say most of the first series - but then DH and I were both hooked.

TulipOHare · 06/02/2014 12:32

This is pretty good (WARNING: spoilers for the whole series!)
