This has got to be the most annoying childrens programme ever, ever, ever made...aside from Justins house and possibly Gigglebiz..

Also I really, really hate Jake off the Tweenies. That voice. It makes me want to kill.

As you were.

froomeonthebroom · 17/01/2014 11:32

Justin is Jake off the tweenied

peppinagiro · 17/01/2014 11:51

That explains it.

I've been searching for the Balamory episode with Miss Hooley's furry muff. I MUST SEE IT. Why can I not find it? It is nowhere on the whole of the internet! sobs

pertempsnooo · 17/01/2014 11:51

What always worries me about Balamory is how various people in the village can just go into the pre-school to chat with Miss hoollie at random, whenever they feel like it.

  1. Isn't she working?
  2. have they been CRB checked?
peppinagiro · 17/01/2014 13:34

You're right Slightly. And the adult:child ratio in her nursery is definitely not meeting the regulations.

Gileswithachainsaw · 17/01/2014 13:38

I always though that too :o

No one signs in, why on earth does everyone thing miss huley is the source of all knowledge that yet all need to see her.

About what exactly? Nothing ever happens.

peppinagiro · 17/01/2014 13:51

I was also a bit concerned about that old guy who looks after the Tweenies. Much as I do wish harm on those bloody Tweenies, I don't think he's fit to be a childminder. He was sleeping on the job yesterday. I don't think he'd pass an Ofsted inspection.

StanleyLambchop · 17/01/2014 14:58

Peppinagrio- I always thought Max in the Tweenies was the handyman, fixing bits & bobs. Isn't Judy meant to be looking after them?

peppinagiro · 17/01/2014 15:52

Well every episode I've seen Judy is off walking that purple dog, while Max minds the children. So he's not even qualified? Outrageous.

thatsnotmypineapple · 17/01/2014 16:14

I find it pretty annoying that, after seeing her practically everyday for the last 4 years, Miss Hoolie has to ask every time if she knows me, and what my name is.

AnAdventureInCakeAndWine · 17/01/2014 16:21

Also, "I know you, don't I? What's your name.... Oh yes, of course!" is a bit close to Suspicious Stranger trying to convince your child that he/she isn't really a stranger. Miss Hoolie should know better.

AlwaysDancing1234 · 17/01/2014 18:47

I don't hate all CBeebies programmes though, love Timmy Time with the little animated sheep! The old Owl teacher rolling his eyes says so much sometimes!
(Yep, I've lost the plot) Grin

AlwaysDancing1234 · 17/01/2014 18:50

Oh and Pingu is comedy gold!

RobinSparkles · 17/01/2014 18:56

Can't stand Balamory but it's worth watching just to hear DD2 sing the theme tune...

"Balaworwy..."

:o so cute!

Sparklymommy · 17/01/2014 20:59

The tweenies never used to be properly supervised IMO. Max is always asleep. Or attempting (usually unsuccessfully) to fix things and Judy is always either walking doodles or in the kitchen.

And they are both usually cross with the Tweenies when they interrupted!

That said, I loved the Tweenies! Jake reminds me of dc3. Bella is a bossy, annoying thing though.
