to want to throw shit at this woman?

Got your attention? Good. Obviously I don't really plan to throw poo at her.

We live opposite a small green that we used to walk across on the school run.

Recently it has been covered in dog turds Hmm.

Just now from my bedroom window I saw a woman come out of her house directly across from me (the green is between us iyswim) with a fat labrador not on a lead who then proceeded to crap in two different spots on the green while she looked on.

She then called it over and they went back in the house Angry

The green is used by kids after school and by families waiting for buses.

I appreciate this is a one off and I can't know for sure that her dog is responsible for all the shits but why the hell should she be allowed to use a public area as a dog toilet?

If I see her do the same again I am going to confront her. Is that unreasonable of me? Surely not.

If she has able bodied visitors then one of them could pick it up for her.

Report her To who ever is appropriate ( I don't know, sorry I'm abroad)

One thing I think that would make everyone's life easier would be for more councils to install poop bins, or at least MORE bins in general. People don't have any excuse then for not doing the needful.

The field which we (and lots of others) use as a shortcut to school/nursery is covered in dog turds. It drives me mad - if you can't be bothered to clear up after your dog you shouldn't have one.

You know where she lives so I would report it. As someone else has said the crutch isn't an excuse, especially as you say she often has visitors so could have gone with one of them if she couldn't physically pick it up.

There was a lady in an electric wheel chair (a tall one with neck supports) I used to see walking her son to school, with a dog. She used to lean over and pick up her dog's poo. I always think if she could do it then there really is no excuse for not picking it up.

Knowledge is power, at least you know who the culprit is. There is loads on my sons walk to school...I wish I knew who it was, I would report them without a second thought.

No excuse anyway. They could take it home and put it in their own bin.

Some git lets their dog crap on our front lawn. We have never caught them at it yet we just find the results. If I ever see them at it I am seriously considering following them home to see where they live and then taking the turd and leaving it on their doorstep.

Pick up as many turds as you can find and chuck them all in her garden. So sick of dog shit not getting picked up and left for people to walk through.

Lookatmybutt - we have lots of dog poo bins round here but still lots of poo. Makes no difference whatsoever.

I'm going to ring the dog warden and ask for their advice.

I'm a dog owner too and wouldn't dream of leaving her poo laying around. It's just unacceptable.

Our house overlooks a small green area. There are notices up everywhere warning of fines if you allow your dog to poo in it so when I repeatedly saw one teenager bringing a dog onto the green, watching her dog poo and then scampering off without picking up I rang the council. They had someone out patrolling the next day and so far, I haven't seen the girl back again.

The green is still covered in dog poo but at least 1 of the culprits was put off.

Aaaand the council are closed.

Will ring in the morning.

There are two teenage boys kicking a ball around in the dark on the green now.

God knows what they are standing in

I hate this! And sod fines I think the punishment should be that the owner is smeared with their dog's shit and made to sit in an enclosed space for twenty mintutes. This to simulate what parents have to go through when they take their toddler to the park and they roll down the lovely grassy bank and get smothered to dog shit then have to immediately return home in a stinky car without stopping for a nice ice cream they had been promised. Seems fair?

I would collect two poos, put them in a bag, and deposit them on her doorstep with a note;

'For every poo I see your dog deposit on the green, I will deposit one on your doorstep in return' Grin

I'm serious

Disgusting! As a responsible dog owner it irritates the life out me to see/hear other dog owners who don't pick up after their dogs ggrrrrrr ..... Try to take a picture so you have some evidence and get on to the dog warden who should be able to help. Good luck x

Amazon sell long handled poop picker-uppers. No excuse for ANYONE not to pick up their own dog's shit. It's fucking disgusting.

OP there is a website called fixmystreet that you can file a report on, anonymously if you wish, and they will contact the council on your behalf. They will pass on your email address to the council but your name will not be made public if you don't want it to be.

You can upload photo's as well.

Our council has it's own phone line and website for reporting this and no you are not being unreasonable to want to throw poo at her.

There's an especially vile blonde woman with a big German Shepherd dog who never cleans up after him. I've spoken to her about it twice and even given her a bag but she still won't clean it up. We live opposite a school and there is a daily offering from that dog for the children to walk through, and inevitably one always does. She walks the dog on the field by the school so there's probably a whole other minefield of shit over there too.

I live in hope that if the dog warden doesn't get her, at the very least karma will one day have her slip and fall in her own dogs shit.

We have two dogs. Picking up after them is not fun but owning them is my choice and my responsibility. Pet owners who won't accept the same is true of them for their pets give all of us a bad name.

Someone used to let their dog shit right outside the school gates, every morning without fail. Someone had always stood in it by the time I came out again as it had foot prints in it and was spread down the pavement Angry. It seemed so deliberate.

Take a photo of her watching the dog crapping, print it out and attach copies to all the lamp posts around you, saying that she's responsible.

I bet she'll stop.

I'd be Angry if i saw it, as we are on the topic, how the hell can i catch who is letting their dog shit in my front garden?! It seems to be at night as i wake up in the morning. This morning when i got up there were two dog shits in the garden. Fuming because my son uses the front garden to play as our back garden is small and the kids across the road come over to play with DS. Getting so pissed off with clearing up other peoples dog shit!! Angry

People like this make me mad.
