To want more sex

Billiam · 01/01/2014 10:52

Lately DH and me have not had much sex. His libido is much lower than mine. Last couple of years his interest dropped to nothing. Talked lots and things have got better, but he said he did not want to feel he had to have sex a certain amount. But be said he would like it maybe once a month. Not enough for me, but I don't feel I can say this because it sounds like I am asking for a rota. Don't understand how he can know how often he will want it. I am afraid he just doesn't really want it at all but has decided he has to and has chosen a number he can put up with. Aibu

Here we go! No comprehension whatsoever...

I am so shocked and dare I say happy to see this thread. I thought i was alone, due to all the media hype about men always being horny. I have this problem with DH, he always says he loves me, is affectionate etc but not interested in sex at all, although he'd never admit to that. If I go to come on to him, he'll slap my hand away, and before now I've dressed up all sexy just to be ignored.

What I really struggle to understand though is that before he met me, he used to sleep around a lot (not within a relationship) having one night stands. It's destroyed my self esteem, thinking that he'll happily have sex with any woman, but can't bring himself to have sex with me (married 11 years - this problem occurred from basically once we moved in together and got engaged).

I don't troll, I tell it as it is. Or at the very least, as it is for me and other men I know. If you just want the female perspective, just read the posts by women...simple.

womblesofwestminster · 04/01/2014 21:01

So badger, how would you explain the scenario of a man that refuses sex with their partner who is in her early 20s? Or men who have had a low libido all their life?

In reality, you speak for YOURSELF. You don't speak for other blokes.

You are the same age as your DP I take it? What makes you so attractive and her so hideous?

badgeroncaffeine · 04/01/2014 21:03

I just can't be bothered womblesofwestminster, you started with a troll accusation and followed up with this aggression.

Darkesteyes · 04/01/2014 21:12

I dont mind badger coming on this thread and proving my point beautifully.

Ignore ladies I believe its an attempt to derail

womblesofwestminster · 04/01/2014 21:12

Simple questions. The fact you can't/won't answer them is telling.

womblesofwestminster · 04/01/2014 21:13

Careful Dark, he'll report you too.

Darkesteyes · 04/01/2014 21:15

As i thought Westminster. He sounds suspiciously like an MRA.

badgeroncaffeine · 04/01/2014 21:17

Just put "female opinions only" next time ;) Sorry some here can't live with the truth, very unfortunate.

Darkesteyes · 04/01/2014 21:17

Heres a question for you badger. I take it you wont mind if your wife was to take a lover. After all if sex with her "no longer appeals" this wont be a problem!!

Darkesteyes · 04/01/2014 21:17

Yep MRA

badgeroncaffeine · 04/01/2014 21:19

Who said I'm married? And as long as she doesn't catch anything it's fine by me.

Darkesteyes · 04/01/2014 21:21

Interesting internet article i read last year was a survey on how a lot of women are not completing their breast cancer treatment due to fear of weight gain.

With ppl like badger around we can see why!

womblesofwestminster · 04/01/2014 21:21

Badger, you're not the only bloke on this thread and we're fine listening with the rest.

I don't think badger is an MRA, just a PITA.

Ignore.

womblesofwestminster · 04/01/2014 21:23

I didn't know cancer treatment caused weight gain.

Tamoxifen can cause it.

badgeroncaffeine · 04/01/2014 21:25

Ah yes, it must be my fault Dark. And wombles, why don't YOU just ignore if you can't cope? Or do you feel the need to instruct others? Pathetic, as per your previous posts.

badgeroncaffeine · 04/01/2014 21:27

Coconutty is talking nonsense sadly. Maybe you could provide the answers then if mine aren't relevant, Coconutty? You could solve this thread in one!

Darkesteyes · 04/01/2014 21:40

You know when ive seen ppl talk about left wing men being sexist i thought....well how can that be? They want equality surely. Now i see for myself that its not always the case.

badgeroncaffeine · 04/01/2014 21:47

What has shown you that Dark?

Darkesteyes · 04/01/2014 21:51
