When she knows I am a coealiac! Am seriously annoyed and want to phone and ask her what she's playing at DH (it's his sister ) says it's not worth it. And just to leave it.

My sister gave me homemade biscuits and I loved them! Made with care and love. I think it's a really nice present! I'd rather get that than a dvd or a jumper I could buy myself anytime. That was to lulu.

OP yanbu, I manage to remember my SIL is diabetic at Christmas and I've only known her for two years so far.

I am so happy that our family to "children only" presents at Christmas! Why is your SIL giving you a present in the first place. It gets completely out of hand.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity

Iamsparkley.... That is a good post.

OP, it was a thoughtless present and you want to create a drama out of it. I just don't get it. Channel your anger and irritation into something else. Please not this.

We managed to remember that fil can't have alcohol now and that our nephew doesn't like the feel of certain fabrics on his skin.

It's not hard to put a little thought to a present, if you want to.
