Mil wants to sleep in our bed

My mil is coming to stay Christmas Eve night, we house share with sil who will be away so mil was to sleep in their bed but mil has decided that she doesn't want to sleep in the attic room she wants our bed, I have problems with anxiety and really can't face the idea of someone sleeping in my bed or me sleeping in sil bed, also ds is 2.5 and still comes into our bed in the night sometimes, especially when he's excited or unsettled so he will probably want to be in bed with me at some point but if I'm in a different bed he wouldn't sleep. We have a perfectly comfortable sofa bed too which she's welcome to.

Am I being unreasonable or is she?

Hmm. Mine and DPs parents are both getting on a bit but no mobility problems and we always give them our bedroom when they stay as we want them to be as comfortable as possible. Our visitors go in the spare room, which is nice enough, but our parents get an upgrade! It's a nice thing to do.

No visitors have our bedroom. If we have no suitable rooms I'd rather pay for them to stay in a b&b and have done in the past when the house was full of us and my kids and stepkids and rellies wanted to come.
I would never evict anyone from their bedroom, I'd much rather just stay locally and pop over and visit.
We both work so usually need to be in our bedroom for that reason as we don't get weeks on end off over the festive period, just a few days if we're lucky.

Must admit if only 20 min away I'd have got my husband to pick her up early in the morning and promised the sprog wouldn't go downstairs to see his presents until she arrived.

My Il sleep in our bed when they stay, despite other okay options. We sleep in the spare bed. They are quite fussy and it stops them being all huffy when they are here. (My mum clambers into DCs mid-sleeper!)

I would talk to her about how you could make her comfortable elsewhere and if you can't work it out with the other room options it wouldn't be unreasonable to offer her your bed.
