My friends children have asked for: a remote control (no, not a remote controlled toy, just a remote control), a pram with a see through hood so they can check on their baby and 3 real horses with purple hair.......

toobreathless · 06/12/2013 01:19

DD 2.8 had a new baby sister in April whom she adores....

She would like a brother :)

bringonyourwreckingball · 06/12/2013 06:09

Dd2 who is 5 has repeatedly asked for toy toffee apples. Nothing else, just that. Any ideas?

GlitteredPinecones · 06/12/2013 07:19

This will out me, but one year (I was a teenager Blush) I asked for a pet brick. On Christmas Day, I opened a shoebox and in it surrounded by tissue paper that made a bed, was a brick with a face drawn on with googly eyes. It also had a suit drawn on. I called 'him' Malcolm Xmas Grin

ShriekingGnawer · 06/12/2013 07:28

Yes! Piece of doweling rod, polystyrene ball painted green and red and red cellophane over the top.

FruitbatAuntie · 06/12/2013 07:44

DS1 was 5 when he requested 'A pakit of Jafa Caykes', making us look positively Scrooge-like.

Actually, he had seen those huge long packs of them that only come out for Christmas, and was desperate for one as they kept running out in ASDA.

TheBrocoliIsStillRaw · 06/12/2013 08:42

Ds 2.11 would like
A cup of tea cup
A new house
Some knickers
A pair of slippers for mummy Grin

cashmiriana · 06/12/2013 08:59

When DD1 was 4 she asked for a fluffy red hand towel with a picture of a cat wearing a Santa hat. She'd seen one on a Christmas card and said it would be nice on a towel.

After a very trying few weeks I went into an M&S outlet store when visiting friends, and they had exactly what she wanted. That was the best £4.99 I ever spent.

Now a teen, this year's request was "anything to do with Buffy." That was slightly easier.

hooochycoo · 06/12/2013 09:40

my DS wants two baubles, one for him and one for his little sister.

moanymandy · 06/12/2013 10:08

Ds 3 wants an air guitar! Father Christmas will bring him a guitar I hope he isn't disappointed! Grin

mamachelle · 06/12/2013 10:44

Dd2 (slightly ocd 8yr old) asked for a push along thing that organises things for xmas last year

No amount of questions could work out what it was so she didnt get it

She was looking through the argos book before her b.day in july and was insane with excitement because she found it.

It was a vegetable rack! We got it for her, it sits next to her bed and she loves it lol

i do remember my sister at 5 asking santa for a donkey if the dog dies before xmas (dog was young)

2 year old DD has asked for a green ball and a haircut...

AlwaysDancing1234 · 06/12/2013 10:54

I am really loving this thread, I have been giggling away like a mad woman.
When we were young my sister asked for "a bear suit and a real van" for Xmas, the mind boggles.
Earlier this year DS aged 6 asked for a little brother or sister for Xmas, we thought he would always be an only child but to our delight his wish came true, baby due June 2014!

Sparklymommy · 06/12/2013 11:08

Dd2 wants a lamb. A real pink one!

Erm...

steppemum · 06/12/2013 11:13

Smallsherry - sorry haven't read all the repls, but you can get a science kit to make a volcano,

plaster cast volvano, wait to dry, paint, wait to dry, fill with vinegar and bicarb and watch it froth.

steppemum · 06/12/2013 11:32

my neice wanted a zebra last year. My mum got her a little zebra key ring
This year she has asked for a zebra again. When mum said but?? She said, but Granny last year you were so clever, so i thought you could find something again!
So Granny has found a toy zebra for her Grin

Mooycow · 06/12/2013 11:47

Yearly ritual for my kids, go through the argos catalogue and write a list of what you would like for christmas.
My son asked for the green mat the child was sitting on in the picture ?????? bless

Mooycow · 06/12/2013 11:51

MY friends little boy one year asked for batteries,
i asked him what they where for, he replied for the robot, then said oh yes and i want a robot .

SparklyMonkeyMummy · 06/12/2013 12:19

SparklyMommy our DD (almost 3) is also leaving her dummies for Father Christmas to take to the other babies, fingers crossed it works as we are due our second baby in June!

When asked what she wants from Father Christmas she told me 'a drink' Hmm her own bottle of flavoured water it seems! Luckily she has also said some toys like a train and a toy dinosaur.

When asked what we should buy daddy for Christmas she has told me an ice lolly and chips as daddy never gets these!

bringonyourwreckingball · 06/12/2013 12:52

Shrieking that's genius! Now where can I get polystyrene balls...

Chattymummyhere · 06/12/2013 13:10

I know a three year old who wants a real pink flamingo.

DS is only just two and not very verbal but has said "baby" on a few occasions when asked. He's in luck, I'm due in May!

ShriekingGnawer · 06/12/2013 21:27

channels santa

MoanyMandy - DS1 (yes, the same one that wants a quince tree) asked for an air guitar last year and we did manage to get him one from tesco! It works with lasers or something and was about a fiver.
