DD1 (4) wants a yoyo (do-able) and a book of keys?! I have no idea what she means and when she told Santa he laughed for ages and said it was the strangest request he'd had!

TwerkingNineToFive · 05/12/2013 16:20

Dd has asked (more than once) for scrambled eggs.

youbethemummylion · 05/12/2013 16:24

A monkey in a box

RoobyMyrtle · 05/12/2013 16:37

Dd2 just had "a pencil" on her list aged 5-11. Grin Grin

ShriekingGnawer · 05/12/2013 17:02

Is a 'book of keys' one of those little zip up key cases with the tags to put all your keys on inside?

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 05/12/2013 18:33

DD(5) "A real live Unicorn. NOT a toy one mummy,a real one."

DS (3) "Sea Pig Toy". bloody Octonauts

nf1morethanjustlumpsandbumps · 05/12/2013 19:02

Baby sister. Not a chance.

OnDasherrorOnDancerror · 05/12/2013 20:28

Has anyone seen the full 40 something minute long Christmas in a day film (Sainsbury's ad.) I love the little girl who got a bow and arrow, and a Barbie graveyard!

Kiwiinkits · 05/12/2013 20:31

I want a jellyfish with wheels!!! Classic!

candycoatedwaterdrops · 05/12/2013 20:34

Auntie: What do you want for Christmas?
Little cousin: an olive
Her mum: anything else?
Little cousin: a spoon!

Inkspellme · 05/12/2013 20:36

friends dd (now grown) asked for page 54 of the toy cataloge. She did get toys but she also got a laminated page 54 of the toy cataloge. She was not impressed.....

ocelot41 · 05/12/2013 20:40

A toy ghost. And a crocodile....Strange child (3)

MrsMaryCooper · 05/12/2013 20:45

A tattoos. Lots of them. Real ones. He is six. (He's not getting a tattoo.)

MoreThanChristmasCrackers · 05/12/2013 20:47

My dd 9 has asked for The ABRSM Songbooks 5 and 6 and a cunductors baton.
She is musical but says that's all she wants and has asked for nothing I would consider fun.
I said not sure if FC will bring these, he might bring some fun stuff. Grin She said, that is fun stuff.
No understanding some folk.

Lucyccfc · 05/12/2013 21:02

My DS, age 8, has asked for a memory foam mattress topper for his bed. It is currently in the boot of my car, as the box is too big to hide in the house.

LetUsPrey · 05/12/2013 21:08

DS2 is seven. He wants two tins of ravioli.

Sparklymommy · 05/12/2013 21:14

I also have one that wants a unicorn. A REAL one.

She has been asked to leave her dummies out for Santa to take to babies (she's 4!!!) in exchange for an extra present. When asked what she would like the extra present to be she thought long and hard and came up with... A new dummy.

Grotbagstwin · 05/12/2013 21:21

Ds is 3.5 and has asked for a tree with balls and a star on top (no tree up here yet)

Amiable · 05/12/2013 21:22

A couple of years ago DD (now 7.9) wanted a unicorn... but not just any unicorn, oh no. this unicorn had to be pink with a yellow mane and tail and a silver horn - not too specific then!!!

I looked everywhere I could think of for at least a pink unicorn with yellow hair but no luck. I tried explaining sometimes Santa doesn't follow requests exactly, but she was adamant.

Then on my last day at work before Xmas I popped into local Oxfam and there on the shelf was a pink unicorn with yellow mane and tail and a silver horn. DD was one happy little girl! Makes you wonder if maybe Santa does exist Wink

MoonlightMerrimentandMistletoe · 05/12/2013 21:33

MummyC - small child hasn't at ours but could well have at GP's - hmm - crafts and singing - oh.

Jamdoughnutfiend · 05/12/2013 22:02

Shrieking gnawer - thankyou! Her granny has one for her keys, so that is probably what she wants!

WellThatsLife · 05/12/2013 22:11

Last year dd2 then 6 asked santa for a new mattress! admittedly hers had just given up after 7 years of being bounced on first by her sister and then by her

neontetra · 05/12/2013 22:20

My dd, 19 months, when asked said she wanted a "meow" (her word for cat). We already have two meows, so am wondering if the less feral one would consent to be wrapped in paper and popped in a stocking on Christmas morning. Only joking! She also tends to tell me she wants meow for dinner, and has done meow at nursery, so I'm not reading too much in to it.

MostlyCake · 05/12/2013 23:36

Spicegirl13 I saw a hello kitty onsie with stars on it primark if that would cut it?

amistillsexy · 05/12/2013 23:48

Ok...DS3's Letter to Santa...

dear santa please may I have

the Super Star Destroyer not at £372.99, love, no!.
a inventer soot (sic). (took a lot of coaxing to discover he wants to dress as Caractacus Potts!)
a posh man soot (sic). (Top hat, tails, black cane Xmas Grin )
bionicle batman. (now discontinued so silly money again!)
sum blue tac.
4 horse shoe magnets. (4, mark you, not 3, or 5!)
A hex bug.

So, as far as I can see, one (remarkably cheap!) normal gift request and a load of weird stuff Xmas Confused.
My Amazon order looks very strange!
