Now I see why my aunt just gave my cousin the Argos catalogue, it restricts you to things that exist

Poo! At least you won't go over budget! Xmas Wink
Maybe some novelty pop shaped chocolate, bet you can reindeer poos somewhere.

BikeRunSki · 05/12/2013 12:00

I know a three year old who wants a coconut

Sunnymeg · 05/12/2013 12:09

We had a request for gerkin seeds from DS a couple of years ago. He wants some obsidian this year.Wink

LovelyBath · 05/12/2013 12:14

We have been asked by DS1 (8) for a big crystal like a cave, a safe with a code, and a xylophone.

maffive · 05/12/2013 12:16

DD1, 7, has asked for a bible and a calculator. I'm atheist and not even sure where to get a bible. Do I have to go somewhere special, or will WHSmith have it covered?

DD2 just wants everything Grin

IceBeing · 05/12/2013 12:19

I spent some time explaining christmas to DD (2.5) so she could have a think about it.

Today she explained that the 'ho ho man' was coming to bring presents. So I asked her what sort of presents and she declared 'a penguin'. So I wrote down penguin and drew a picture next to it. I said anything else? and she thought really REALLY hard and said 'Other penguin'.

So I wrote that and added another picture....we have since managed to add 'sheep' and 'brick'.

I don't think santa will ever see this list on account of it being her new most prized possession....

SummerRain · 05/12/2013 12:19

ds2 who's 4 asked for a laptop. When I explained that he was too little for a laptop and that he really needs to learn to read first he announced 'OK, then I want a new light up keyring because my old one is broken' Grin I love the fact that he sees a laptop and a keyring as comparable presents!

ShriekingGnawer · 05/12/2013 12:24

DS1 (7) wants a quince tree. So he can grow his own quinces and make quince jelly.

PMSL at maid and butler.

CiderwithBuda · 05/12/2013 12:26

These are so funny. My DS is boring now at 12.

LunaticFringe - you can get joke poo. Not entirely sure I would though. I'd be afraid that he might then think that all poo can be used in the same way!

CiderwithBuda · 05/12/2013 12:28

Maffive - there is a thread going where people are outraged that their DCs are being given Gideon bibles at school - maybe one of them will send you one! Grin. Failing that I think M&S do a book of bible stories for children.

Waitingaround · 05/12/2013 12:35

13 year old dd has only asked for a wooden spoon..

afromom · 05/12/2013 12:36

My DS (9) has asked for a dog every year for as long as I can remember. I have told him that Santa can't deliver live animals and he tells me every year "i'd better put it on my list as he might change his mind this year!"

This year he has asked for an early Christmas present of a red dressing gown and green slippers "just like they have on the films" so that he can wear it on Christmas morning "just like in the films" and then perhaps the dog may appear this year!

For such a mature and grown up 9 year old, Christmas always reminds me he's still quite little really! (And also that we obviously watch far too many Christmas films!)

Ds asked for a shovel when he was 3. So Dh went to the shop on Christmas eve and got him a little one. Christmas Day he was out on Christmas morning trying to dig holes.
He loved that shovel and used it for years, Dh would plant trees in the holes he made in the right places.

thehomesecretary · 05/12/2013 12:58

DS (3) has asked for yellow toys. Cur a trip to ELC. 'What do you have that comes in yellow?'

Mercythompson · 05/12/2013 13:15

Ds2 (3) wants the 'fairy princess thing!' It's the only thing he has asked for when asked by everyone and I have no idea which toy he means!!

absentmindeddooooodles · 05/12/2013 13:30

My ds 2.9 has asked for:

An umbrella
A pink sparkly top
A beach
An elephant
And washing up gloves ( no idea where he got that from)

Ive got the umbrella and pink top covered......now to work on the rest.....

absentmindeddooooodles · 05/12/2013 13:31

Oh and a fork and an olive tree. :/

MairyHoles · 05/12/2013 15:58

My 6 year old nephew eats non stop, he will eat anything. From Santa he wants pasta. Lots and lots of pasta.

MummyCoolski · 05/12/2013 16:13

"All the colours" is something Sarah says in "Sarah and Duck" when she goes to scarf lady's house and sees the different coloured wool. Could she have seen that?

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 05/12/2013 16:13

I nearly died laughing at a maid and butler... Who doesn't want a Jeeves and someone to do the washing up?!

Heartbrokenmum73 · 05/12/2013 16:14

These are excellent. I'm also loving the beard Grin

And 'penguin' and 'other penguin' - genius!
