Samsara used to be my signature perfume. I loved it, haven't smelled it in years, I might have a spray in Debenhams tomorrow

I think different perfumes smell different on different people though. Perfumes smell different on my mother to me. We can both try one perfume on and it smells nice on her but awful on me...and visa versa

You are quite right capsium.

My daytime winter perfume is Clinique Aromatics Elixir and people are always saying how nice I smell. But I know it can smell like disinfectant on some people!

I tell you what has been no good for me though. Reading that fancy Perfumista thread over in S&B. makes me want want want, but the perfume shops in my area are more Lady gaga Joocy Booty or whateever

I love it, but can only wear it in the evening in winter. it's far too heavy for daytime.
I wore some last Saturday and felt very exotic

for daytime I use another Guerlain perfume, Chamade. Have used it for 40years.

You can have my bottle of Samsara if you want OP.

Dh loves the smell, so he bought me some. I am deeply allergic to it though and cannot wear it without having to have a trip to the nearest A&E .

Buffie,Ysatis is gorgeous, love it. Also Rive Gauche. I hardly ever buy modern perfume.

This has reminded me of perfumes of my youth, loved sun moon and stars, really pretty bottle with, er, sun moon and starts on it

And stumbled across an ad for 'Limara' body spray a while ago, can't remember what it smelt like but the music was amazing pure '80's soft rock wallows in nostalgia

OMG my mum used to wear Samsara. Makes me feel all nostalgic.

She also went through an Opium phase but after a bottle smashed in the carpeted walk-in cupboard in my bedroom I can't bear the smell. Had to move to my DGMs for a week till it faded a bit
