People hate it don't they!

I love it - makes me feel young as used to wear it in 1990s.

PseudoBadger · 03/12/2013 10:58

I wore it in the 90s too. I quite fancy a bottle now, but perfume brings me out in blotches now :(

Oldandcobwebby · 03/12/2013 11:12

Love it, but I prefer Shalimar.

ApprenticeViper · 03/12/2013 11:16

Wilson Thank you so much; I was reading the thread trying desperately to remember the perfume my mum used to wear! Opium it was Smile

I was a Body Shop Dewberry addict until I was about 14, then graduated to CK One. Can't stand the smell of that now

My best friend used to wear Samsara when we were hitting the town aged about 16 or 17 Grin Go for it OP, it's lovely!

Crinkle77 · 03/12/2013 11:17

yanbu I love it. I got some last xmas cos not had any for years and just finished it.

Lyonesse · 03/12/2013 11:22

Perfectly reasonable. Definitely more reasonable than my buying Giorgio Beverly Hills and wearing it in public

drbonnieblossman · 03/12/2013 11:29

do you get slung off MN if you used to wear, and love the smell of Poison. I know it brings on a migraine in the most hardy of people but the smell gives such lovely memories.

ephemeralfairy · 03/12/2013 11:32

Love Samsara! I like all the old-school Guerlain perfumes.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/12/2013 14:15

i used to wear this 20years ago - absolutely adored it but about 5 yrs later i changed my smell/taste and stopped wearing it

but always recognize smell on others and reminds me of when i used to wear it

expatinscotland · 03/12/2013 14:16

I love it!

WilsonFrickett · 03/12/2013 14:19

Ooof drbonnie even my mother of Samsara and Opium fame only wore Poison when she was on a promise. That woman must have a nose of steel, now I come to think about it Grin

SPsComingOnSavioursDay · 03/12/2013 14:22

I have never heard of it.

drbonnieblossman · 03/12/2013 15:20

wilson, looks like I need to get myself some poison then Wink

WilsonFrickett · 03/12/2013 15:22
Grin
WoahNelly · 03/12/2013 15:23

Yes...

Worriedthistimearound · 03/12/2013 15:30

Ah, poison was glorious when I was 15! Then we went all upmarket and changed to Samsara because we decided Poison was cheap and tarty! Grin

bluebayou · 03/12/2013 15:47

I quite like the VB perfume . fresh

SantaStuffedMyStocking · 03/12/2013 15:51

go for it.

It's my mum's day to day work perfume.

everytime I smell it it makes me think of a cuddle from her. cheers me right up. It's like a comforting smell.

cannotfuckingbelievethis · 03/12/2013 15:51

Buy it ! Buy it! If I wasn't so utterly bloody skint I'd buy myself a bottle as it is my all time favourite perfume. Always used to get comments when I wore this. It's actually thanks to this perfume that DH and I met. I caught him sniffing the back of my neck in a night club queue !

(Wanders off to smell the testers in Boots). If anyone fancies getting rid of a bottle then they can send it to me Grin

ShylaMcClaus · 03/12/2013 16:00

I am tempted by Georgio now.

And some Kouros for DH Grin

paulapantsdown · 03/12/2013 16:11

Many moons ago I worked in the offices of Geurlain. Staff were allowed to buy damaged returns for £1 per item, whatever it was - an eyeliner or a bottle of perfume.

The staff never really bothered, but once I got there they had to change the policy as I was buying every single thing that came back! We has drawers and cupboards full of samsara perfumes, soaps, body lotion etc. It lasted us years!

My mum loved Samsara so much. I have a bottle of hers in drawer that I take out for a little sniff sometimes to imagine she's still here.

IrateCrank · 03/12/2013 20:31

Aw, that's sweet Paula.

Does anyone else think that Diesel perfume Loverdose sounds like something you'd be ashamed to admit to down the clinic? Ewww.

Mintyy · 03/12/2013 21:15

Oh it's just lovely that Samsara makes some of you think of your mum.

I am 51 so probably about the same age.

Am definitely going to put this on my list Xmas Smile.

Shalimar is better. Remember when everyone wore Poison? Now THAT was pure evil.

IfNotNowThenWhen · 03/12/2013 21:22

Oh, yeah, just read thread-everybody remembers it!
My fave Guerlain is Nahema. Luffly that is.
