Also I don't find dessert or pudding or whatever it's called and cheese / port are mutually exclusive. I love them all. If I had to choose only one though - it would be a glass of port Smile

catellington · 26/11/2013 21:49

This is making me hungry I'm off to find some cake

teacherandguideleader · 26/11/2013 21:52

I don't do puddings when I go for dinner, I much prefer starter and mains. I don't however mind if whoever I am with wants pudding. Once I've had wine, for some reason I lose my sweet tooth.

Pudding in the middle of the afternoon with a cup of tea is an entirely different matter though ...

AtYourCervix · 26/11/2013 21:55

French Fancy anyone? I like the yellow ones best.

french fancy with hot custard so it goes all melty, i am a pudding hand :)

catellington · 26/11/2013 22:06

What's a pudding hand?

MsUumellmahaye · 26/11/2013 22:13

the chat a few posts ago up thread was about how in scotland you say ' o i'm a cheese hand' if you like cheese etc...

Katiepoes · 26/11/2013 22:16

I don't like cream, not all that keen on chocolate and am really not a dessert person. Port on the other hand yes please.

As for what it's called, come to Ireland and call it pudding. Then bask in the eye rolling and sniggering in your general direction. My aunt (many many years in England) is still referred to as Her Majesty after politely asking 'what's for pudding Mum?' in her best Thatcher accent.

catellington · 26/11/2013 22:18

Oh I missed that bit... I thought from the context it was someone who came up with greet new pudding combinations Smile

MsUumellmahaye · 26/11/2013 22:23

o i can if the sugar carving is strong enough Wink

NuggetofPurestGreen · 26/11/2013 22:24

Was thinking the same Katiepoes was always bemused by my English cousin asking about 'pudding' I thought she meant Christmas pudding, that was the only pudding I'd ever heard of. Besides black pudding obviously.

RaspberryRuffle · 26/11/2013 22:24

EmmaFreud do you want to go out for a 3 course dinner and we can have 3 desserts each?

neunundneunzigluftballons · 26/11/2013 22:26

I don't really like dessert and I never call dessert pudding. I love starters.

WorraLiberty · 26/11/2013 22:27

I'm killing myself laughing here at Blondes typo!! Grin

crisps rather then cock

At least I hope it was a typo?!? Shock

cakewitch · 26/11/2013 22:28

Anybody who does not like pudding is a puritanical cunt..

BaronessBomburst · 26/11/2013 22:31

I don't really like chips much. People seem to find that odd too.

WorraLiberty · 26/11/2013 22:32

I only like cheese when it's on a pizza, on toast or in a grated cheese and onion sandwich.

BaronessBomburst · 26/11/2013 22:33

Yes, what does she mean?!

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 26/11/2013 22:33

I also hate people who are 'not dessert people' because I'm more often than not, they're not fat and have less cravings. So I fecking hate them because of all the willpower I have to muster to resist a chocolate fondat or a lemon meringue pie whilst they are perfectly satisfied without the calorie laden temptations.

I wish I bloody well was 'not a dessert person'. Life would be such simpler. And slimmer.

[Gets out of bed to go finish off the apple tarte tatin that's sitting in the fridge] Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/11/2013 22:33

ha ha WorraLiberty iphone always changes choc for cock

BaronessBomburst · 26/11/2013 22:35

I'd rather have....no, I think I'll leave it there...... Grin

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 26/11/2013 22:38

And now we have people who dont like chips and cheese either! Whatever is the world coming too.

Worra and Barroness can you feel the hate..? Envy

BaronessBomburst · 26/11/2013 22:44

Oh, you wouldn't hate me if you saw my hips. Grin I like cheese. And wine. And cheese and wine. And pasta.......

Talkinpeace · 26/11/2013 22:45

thedietstarts
I happen to be slim now, but my cheese and wine habit has made that not always the case Grin

I'm not a goody goody by skipping puddings - I just do not like vomiting !

Blueuggboots · 26/11/2013 22:53

My favourite restaurant does 3 courses for a set price. So I have a main course, dessert/pudding/sweet AND cheese. :)
