To ask what unpopular opinions you hold? (Lighthearted)

NC (not for this) but I'm long-standing MNer (Pom bear, naice ham...)

This might ruin the whole concept of AIBU but sometimes people pop up with opinions that I am shocked by, not because of what they are but just because they are so marginal. (SPs Cliff Richard obsession, for example?)

So, whilst encouraging you all to go forth and spread your weird and wonderful thoughts all over AIBU and elsewhere, what really unpopular opinions do you hold?

I have a couple of corkers, first one is that Kanye West however much of a knob he is actually is a genius.

Oh, I hate that I have seen one comment that has made my mouth gape open. CANTTHEYSEEME...... you should have stopped at "some people are weak". The rest of it shows why too many people, especially females stay downtrodden in bad and dangerous situations. I hope that you were strong enough not to have name changed......

To not see the point of bars that don't have a big dancefloor. Preferably one that lights up.

(pubs are different, they have tables and no banging loud music)

There is a legal obligation to send my children to school.
This does not mean that there is a legal obligation for me to allow the school's views and opinions to trump mine as a parent.

There's only a legal obligation to educate yuor child.

Small pets (hamsters/gerbils etc) are satan incarnate, with their beady eyes and trembly scratchy claws.

I only like small cats (like mine), big ones have human-like faces.

Dolls (of any sort) and clowns freak me out.

Immigration control is morally and ethically wrong, and is maintained as a means of continuing massive wealth inequality, both globally and nationally.

I can't stand men wearing trainers unless they are working out.

I love pink tat for my girls.
Vaccinations should be compulsory unless there is a medical reason not to have them.
If you don't vax kids (with the same disclaimer as above) they should be homeschooled.
I judge people who are over 25 who go clubbing and get drunk all the time.
I love pandora bracelets and twigs in vases.
I love Butlins.
People make too much fuss over aspartame and buy into the hysteria.
Cyclists on the path when they are not a child or young kid should fuck offl.
Cyclists on the roads are annoying.

To agree with whoever said that middle-class people tend to be more boring than working-class or upper class.

And that dinner 'parties' aren't entertainment.

I would rather sit in my Dad's front garden gossiping about the council estate residents and drinking proper tea rather than endure another Boden-infested designer-cutlery dinner party "guess what I've just invested in?" nightmare with my in-laws.

I agree shrunkenhead - I did breastfeed three of my children - but the first one, the one to get mostly formula is the only one without allergies.

It really annoys me when I see breast feeding advocated for preventing allergies - no it doesn't. I think they're either allergic, or they're not.

Agree with the poster who said all musicals were embarrassing rubbish...just cringemakingly awful, all of them. Elaine page cannot sing for tiny toffees. The Beatles also dire. Mamma Mia was the most dire film of all time.

Anything aimed totally at women is patronising crap...women's hour on radio 4, chick lit, spa places, cosmetics and all that anti ageing rubbish. Caring what anyone wears is shallow and I will judge you for caring. I mean as long as people are cleanish and decent who cares?

I wear all manner of bag lady clothing and I have purple bits in my hair and a tattoo and I don't give a monkeys what anyone else thinks. Stop thinking my appearance is any of your business!

We are omnivores. You can say what you like but evolution has led us in that direction.

Meat gives us the high quality protein we need - even our chimpanzee relatives eat meat - and the proselitysing of vegetarians bores me beyond belief.
