AIBU?

Cliff Richard - should he give it up?

Just been watching him on This Morning (whilst pretending to work from home and surfing Mumsnet).

AIBU to think he should call it quits? His face is full of plastic and his movements are stiff. He's certainly never been a Mick Jagger but Mick still has the energy and fire of a 30 year old, despite looking so haggard (and we all know why THAT is).

So Cliff, what are you doing? You were very pretty when you were young. But now I think it's time to put on the slippers.

??

Macka. He gets everywhere.

And by 'retire permanently' you do mean 'pull the plug' don't you?

Oh god McCartney would have to be the one.

At least Brucie and Cliff are good at what they do, even if what they do is excruciating.

Nope it's got to be Brucie for me. Cliff gives me entertainment through threads like this, and Macca gets a pass because of past genius. Even if he does have a cat's bum face

Brucie is infecting my screen every Saturday, poor Tess Daly looks genuinely stricken. And that's someone who puts up with Vernon Kay the rest of the time!

Bruce has improved on SCD since he's got new contacts and or they slowed down the autocue for him poor old bugger.

Paul was a real great he can be excused now

Cliff was never great and is a prat so he must be the one to be 'retired'.

Good argument ppeat.

I suspect with Christmas around the corner the Cliff resurgence will make me change my mind.

Maybe he reads MN and his return is because of me?! Shock You lot are so welcome

Sing on Cliff, sing on

I live in a Cliff-free zone-apart from SP's posts, I never come across him. You lot need to review your entertainment choices if Cliff is intruding into your lives. Stick to BBC Four and Radio Three. Job done.

Brucie would have to go for me I'm afraid. He's always given me the creeps...

Thanks forgetmenots The other thing that pisses me off about Cliff is that he seems to have an ego the size of Gt. Britain; he never sounds humble or unsure of himself. You're right Eldritch I must stop listening to R2 Grin.

Ooh Macca would be permanently retired so he can go off and wobble his head somewhere private.

Brucie could stay as long as he just reads the autocue and stops trying to make jokes. He's harmless isn't he.

But Cliff should stay. Christmas isn't Christmas without him!

I can't fucking stand Cliff, but casting aspersions about operation Yewtree is uncalled for and in very bad taste.

Nigella

That's horrible

He has spoken about his sexuality (he is open about the fact that he lives with a man but thinks beyond that it's none of anyone else's business what he does in the bedroom0. He has also campaigned for same-sex marriage.

So you are well wide of the mark in implying he is a paedophile or abuser.

Geez Louise! How did I miss that.

I don't have a clue what you mean but then again I don't go around stating people look like child abusers.

Fucking hell.

WelshWereRabbit I'm glad you enjoyed it but I'm afraid it will haunt you forever.

You know when people see the face of Jesus or Mary in household objects? I saw Cliff in a scrunched up chamois leather yesterday. Should I put it on ebay?
