mysia thanks for that. Perhaps i'm missing some kind of point here. Why has this type of parenting been given a 'type' or a 'name'. I think what is being described as attachment parenting is something we all do anyway. Children are closer to their parents most of the time than other people and the parents are more sensitive to their needs/wants. Think its a very silly label to be honest. Another thing in our lives that has a meaningless title

Katie obviously thought PG was a child. The way she looked/gurned the whole way through was dismissive and rude.

Peaches said the same thing at the very start of the interview. It's not new age, it's what we have been doing as a species from the dawn of time. With all the 'baby training' etc etc that is about and has been for years now, I guess they decided to put a label on the natural, old style, responsive parenting.

Well I don't get all these stupid titles. It's parenting , you do what works for you which is probably a bit if everything. All these titles are probably just from people trying to sell a book. However, PG pointed out rightly so that she clearly had a bunch of pre determined answers and was just gonna feel off the script. There was absolutely nothing of interest on the KH side. There were words but no actual point nice one Peaches!! :)

To be honest I don't think Peaches gave the best interview. She also had catchphrases at the ready and Attachment Parenting is such a non story. However, KH is so vile that she makes everyone look great

She also said bollocks about cot death,bollocks about the fallout if you don't AP and bollocks re CC and cortisol.At least Katie sat and listened without butting in unlike Peaches.

If she'd read any CC thread or used her common sense she'd know that said study was discredited,other studies show no ill effects and the famous cortisol one was based on babies in a Romanian orphanage.

Aside from that babies will cry and work up more cortisol when left at nursery than being left for 3 mins in their own bed.They survive.They're hardy and designed to withstand a bit of mewling.

I thought Katie rocked(she made some valid points)gone up hugely in my estimation.Honestly don't work in her PR office.Lma off actually,thought she was a hoot although the pram incident was a bit of a low blow(she did have a point though).

Has Katie EVER been to Sweden? I don't think so.

I know of 1 Swedish child living in UK - perfectly behaved. And saw when I was travelling by train to Bordeaux airport on a coach (train was cancelled due to crash so coach) a family of Finns (aunt, sister, nieces, nephews, kids etc) - TOTALLY delightful, kids very polite and cute. If the Scandinavians bring up their kids so well from my 2 examples then I want their handbook.

Didn't see TM and Peaches has come across as an entitled brat (see Daily Mail articles running her down) - but she is her mother's daughter (Paula Yates) so I think what mothering she had has shaped her. Bob's not bad for a dad either.

The problem Katie has now is that it is hard to take her seriously and to listen to what she has to say because her previous trolling prevents that.

She's so antagonistic that you can't take her seriously. This Morning needs a guest on with less of a reputation. But of course, viewing figures might go down.

Also Peaches said APers are showing their babies that they love them thus inferring that those that think it's a crock clearly don't.

Peaches my love some of us had 3 under 15 months and managed to show our babies we love them just fine and dandy without the need for co- sleeping or any other B bullshit(the 8th B imvho).
