to get annoyed at parents letting small children control trolleys in supermarkets

the reason I ask is because I was whacked by one yesterday. I'm usually quite chilled out and got a lot of patience but why would people let very small children go wild with trolleys in busy supermarkets?

the mum witnessed the child hitting me and other people (one an elderly man) but continued on without apologising and letting him to it. I did say ouch loud enough to make a point. Blush

am I just being a grumpy sod?

As for eofa 1, out of order. You handles it well

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 20:42

Ahh well i reported to be honest as well as responding. There was no need for that.Yes i type appallingly at times but Im usually doing things and typing inbetween and for someone to make a personal attack on someone they dont know from behind a screen is just pathetic.By all means have a differing opinion but it is unacceptable to character assasinate someone you do not know.Shame the coward didnt respond again.

CairoPrankster · 12/11/2013 20:53

I nearly reported when I read it, then when I went back it had already gone.
Most of us are on phones and punctuation is a nightmare on these things, I don't even see it any more.

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 22:16

Ive never reported anything before.Dont know why some people get so uppity as i think one must realise that people wont always agree with them.

6cats3gingerkittens · 12/11/2013 22:45

Here's my two penny worth. Ban all children from supermarkets, they are a nuisance. Insist the supermarket opens a free crèche. then the rest of us can shop in reasonable tranquillity.

eofa1 · 12/11/2013 22:45

The "coward" didn't respond again because I have a life and don't spend all evening hunched over mumsnet waiting for more illiterate nonsense.

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 22:50

Well why come back at all then?in fact dont communicate towards me any further and make us both happy.I dont wish to converse with nasty people on the internet seems rather pointless.

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 22:52

Creche sounds fab to me 6cats! Children would probably be happier too!

Strumpetron · 12/11/2013 22:56

I remember ASDA used to have a play area for kids. That didn't last long.

eofa1 · 12/11/2013 22:57

You kind of seem like you do, what with the endless comments and immediate responses at whatever time. Nothing better to do? Try watching a bit of telly or something.

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 22:58

Actually I recall a play area in Tesco, but I was very young then.Ey that has triggered a memory.....

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 23:00

You stalking me?I dont feel the need to explain myself to you.I dont respect you so your opinions are invalid.

eofa1 · 12/11/2013 23:00

Hilarious.

Strumpetron · 12/11/2013 23:02

limited I was really young too, about 6, I'm 22 now so quite a few years ago

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 23:02

I am really over it now I think you need to stop being an angry person. You dont even know who youre talking to yet youre reacting like this.

Strumpetron · 12/11/2013 23:02

Oh c'mon people lets be nice Grin

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 23:03

God you are making me feel old!

Strumpetron · 12/11/2013 23:04

I'm young in years but my god I've got the brain and body of a 90 year old.

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 23:04

Yes let us be nice

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 23:05

I dont quite feel 90 yet but give it a few more years and I might agree...

OhFishyFishyFishyFish · 12/11/2013 23:14

Are you two kissing and making up...good, I thought I was going to have to bang your heads together for a moment Grin

I am dreading the time when DS decides he wants to push the trolley, shopping takes long enough as it is Sad

When DS was a baby I used one of those trollies with the tray thing on top for the car seat to sit on...OMG those things are lethal, unless you're really tall you can't see anything in front of you. I knocked some poor chap over, he was bending down to get something off the bottom shelf, I had no idea he was there and I ploughed into him Shock Blush

He was very gallant about it, I was mortified Grin

Strumpetron · 12/11/2013 23:16

Shove um both in a trolly and bash them together muaha.

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 23:17

Thanks for caring Grin
Yeah those trollies are lethal you have to look aroubd them, now i definately crashed those...once or ten times....

LimitedEditionLady · 12/11/2013 23:18

StrumpetronGrin

CairoPrankster · 13/11/2013 08:32

Gosh oefa you are a very angry person

I know that I have done more damage with Trollies than ds has ever managed but then I have had years more practice than him.

Safeway's used to have a crech about 12 years ago but they charged to use it
